Had a takeaway as was staying in the hotel next door. Food was really nice, couldn't fault anything I had and would order again if I was ever in the area again. One of the reasons I was happy to use this takeaway was that It scores 5 out of 5 for hygiene on scores on the doors official website so you can be assured of the food preparation and hopefully you won't end up with an upset stomach! Would recommend this place.

Well that was disappointing. This was our first time ordering from here, and encouraged by the reviews, I expected much better. Things didn't start out well - the person on the phone taking the order was surly - I was made to feel like I was imposing by ordering food. "Maybe they're busy" I thought - although surely that should be a good thing! On arrival, I found the "living room sized" (as others have described it) restaurant. There the parallel ends. It isn't just small, but dingy and threadbare. If I was visiting to eat in, I'd have turned around and walked out. It looked like everyone else had already - there were only two people eating there. On arriving home with the food, the bottom of the inside of the bag was swimming in yellow oil that had leaked from one of the dishes, which made serving messy but also gave hints as to the quality of the food.At best the food was average, but this is average in a part of the world (Horsley, Effingham, Bookham, Fetcham, Leatherhead) without a single good restaurant. Anyone who says otherwise hasn't had good Indian.Oh, and don't expect the free bottle of house wine promised on the menu for orders over £20.

Since it changed hands, I have been meaning to try this restaurant. Unfortunately, I was met with a pretty miserable waiter who gloomily showed me to my table. He reminded me of the janitor in the Harry Potter films. The food was pretty average so nothing to report apart from if you want a doggy bag you will find old âMisery gutsâ trying to squash all you dishes into one container.Presumably these tin foil containers are too expensive to give away lightly. In any event the food is no better than what you can get at Waitrose except far more expensive.
I had been staying in Leatherhead on business for the week and the town center takeaways were awful. I decided to travel a bit further and found Surrey Spice. Totally different to what I had the previous nights. I had the tandoori mixed grill and a chicken shashlik. All the food was very hot, plentiful and well cooked. Just the right amount of spice and a naan to wash it all down.Very happy with my choice and worth waiting for.

Just as we approached the door, the door was already opened for us and a warm welcome. I like really snappy service and this was great menus handed out instantly drinks orders given and drinks delivered in minutes same with starters. The food came at just the right time as was excellent would suggest a re think on the tables as they are small and difficult for all the dishes to fit on the table. All in all a great meal out, house wine was reasonably priced and tasted good with no headache in the morning! Thanks very much

This was always the best for curry when we lived in locally. So, having lived overseas for the past 14 years we were craving a curry and had sampled a few others the past five weeks in London. We were not disappointed and introduced our daughter to this place as her new local curry house. It appears the same owners and chef run the place. We again had our best Dansak and Jalfrezi here today since we left along with other samplingâs.Great service and terrific food which we will miss until our next visit.

Working locally tonight (31 Jan 2019) told about this place from a work colleague.I had the lamb biryani at £9.50, keema nan at £2.75 and chips at £1.95. Colleague had chicken biryani at £9.50 and chips (£1.95).The biryanis were a very good portion and very tasty, chips as chips should be and lots of them, the keema nan a good size. Neither of us could eat it all so as we were working nightshift had the remaining food later on in the night.Sadly I forgot to take photos and only have a photo of the bill.
