This is a new family run business and they are just starting out however as a curry fanatic I must say their food is desirable at least, I order weekly for my wife and/or I, she is very picky and loves HOT curries, I desire medium or mild and this little delight caters for all. It is rare my wife will stick to one place however this is it. Very good, just wish it is open 6 days a week, as it is new and a family business they are not always there which is a bummer as I would order weekly however it is worth the wait. Best in Perth so far and we frequent Indian/Pakistani regularly I wish you the best and hope word gets out because your effort is above any found in this great state.

Have just come back from dinner here. The rump steak came with frozen vegetables! Flavourless, soggy, cold vegetables and watery mash potatoes!???When I discussed this with the waitress she actually told me that fresh vegetables don't have a very long shelf life, hence the frozen ones?? This, despite there being a vegetarian menu and many dishes that have vegetables.I thought we should only pay for the steak, given that was all that was eaten, but no go.We are locals and will not eat here again, or in any restaurant that does not serve fresh food.

First time diners 2 of us ate here on sunday night.First off cold water and complimentary poppadums with mint chutney and tamarind sauces...a good start. We were the only diners.. which doesn't faze us...but quite a few takeaways going out.Great service, very friendly, and food was good.Beef masala..tender beef, crisp capsicum chunks and thin slices of ginger. Yum.Prawn korma..8 good size prawns in a nice creamy sauce.Rice and a garlic naan plus corkage...$51 A bargain. (Would have given it four and a half if we could!).Going back...yes, for sure.

Where to eat Australian food in Kelmscott: The Best Restaurants and Bars
Myself and she who must be obeyed (sometimes) got a Scoopon for the Darbar - it's only about 5 minutes from home. It's a relatively new restaurant for the area, and there aren't that many! Service was excellent, the staff very friendly but not intrusive. We got complimentary Papadams to start with, and our orders were taken. For entree we got the Vegetarian Platter - 2 Samosa's (hand made) Onion Bhadji, and Subzi Pakora. Large serving! Came with a yummy Minted Yoghurt Sauce. Then for our mains I got the Lamb Vindaloo (HOT) and my wife got the chicken Madras. We also added plain steamed rice and Naan Bread. We also ordered Mango Lassi as our drinks. The Vindaloo was excellent, very tasty without being overpowering, and freshly cooked. The Madras (MILD) was excellent as well, no strong spices that the wife couldn't handle. For dessert I had the Gulab Jaman and the wife had Mango Kulfi (ice cream). By the time we finished we were both happily full and glad that we had been lazy and driven (we didn't think we would make it home walking - rolling maybe lol). Might be a tad on the pricey side, but the food was worth it. We will be going back to try a few different menu items! We do recommend that you visit the Darbar in Huntingdale :)
