The Himalayan Cafe is a food and travel lounge at Kaza,Himachal Pradesh offering multi cuisine food ,drinks, books, activities and much more...
The menu of the Himalayan Cafe is very impressive, but it is deceptive in that more than half of the items weren't available. We thought we were playing it safe by ordering the thukpa, but were in for a shock to find out that it was just a clear vegetable stock soup with some noodles and overboiled vegetables thrown in. This was very disappointing, considering that we had had some amazing thukpa around various places in Spiti. Upon being told, the waiter was supremely defensive about the thukpa but later was kind enough to not include it in our bill, considering we put it aside after one sip. We all got an upset stomach with the chicken curry, the garlic naans were decent. My friend and I split a Yogi's Bowl, the mashed potato in which was ancient (not stale, ancient and flavourless). The atmosphere of the cafe is decent as is the location but it just doesn't hit the right spot with the food. It isn't that we were unlucky with the order, as we always ask the waiter to suggest us some specials/ stronger entrees. This was easily our most disappointing meal in Spiti.

Taste of Spiti is a restaurant in Kaza serving a fusion of tradition Spiti food with world cuisine. You could drop in for a sumptuous 'Kaza Falafel with Black Pea Hummus' or a hearty local 'Pasta' with an Italian twist amongst other interesting delicacies
Visited Taste of spiti after visiting sol cafe the previous day. Both are run by spiti ecosphere an social enterprise, restaurant is run by volunteers, I ordered hummus with pita bread but had to wait for almost 30 mins, I think the volunteer was just too casual, forgot to place my order or didn't bother much or something else I don't know. Wanted to order something else but ingredients weren't available with them. The place is nice, liked the ambience, got to know about the miracle berry Seabuckthorn ! The overall menu looked a bit pricey but the food was good. Hope to revisit and have a better experience next time.hi jineshthanks for visiting us. sorry that you did not have a good experience. we apologise for the same. it would help us immensely if you can let us know what date you visited on so we can look into this matter better. many thanks again for visiting and hope to have you back. we definitely assure you a better experience next time :)

Live music and a travel cafe. Cafe Zomsa is unique blend of an ancient tradition of a remote region and the global food, the fusion of the the ancient and the modern art work. Zomsa specializes in Indian, Italian, continental and vegan food.
Amazing food, awesome atmosphere and great hospitality is what defines Zomsa. Tastefully done and with live music, it's a must place to have food. The owner, Bhavesh is a great host and an even great musician. We loved all that we ordered except for the Veg Pakoras which we shouldn't have ordered in the first place at such a place. The Thai curry, Pizza, Pasta all that we ordered was excellent.
Tara Travellers Cafe in Pinvalley is best choice for food specially for Indian, Chinese and Spiti local dishes. Tara providing a best hospitality in Pinvalley last from 15 years.
