Placed in an older building with much character (but cold in the winter), this is the place for authentic Indian food.If you like Indian and the portions are big try itSambal prawns, lamb sausage called kebab but itâs a sausage, great rice, and huge portions of chicken servedPanir is greatExpect $40-45 a person for appetiser, main and wine

Having never been to the Harvest of India since it opened we decided to give it a try and were very pleasantly surprised, Richard made us very welcome and the food was absolutely scrumptious, My Beef madras was great as was my wife's Chicken korma, all in all a lovely meal and pleasant staff, we will be back and i'd recommend it to friends and anyone looking for authentic Indian food!

There are very few Indian restaurants around Playford/Gawler and none of them are great.However, we found this particular restaurant by accident when we happened to buy petrol at the service station. I have never seen crowds of customers there so I suspect people don't know about it yet.The service was quick and friendly. There were many delicious dishes and the prices were much lower than other places.We tried the mixed entree and were surprised by the large serve. The main dishes were again large. The fresh spices were obvious as every dish was tasty beyond belief. The food was served hot and very well presented.They had a good range of naans which perfectly added to the biriani rice. The chicken curry was tender and tasty and probably the best I have eaten in a very long time. The chef definitely has a gift for cooking wonderful dishes. Similarly the sweets were delicious.It is so refreshing to have a delicious Indian meal with the family in quiet surroundings at a very reasonable price. I strongly recommend giving them a try; you will want to come again on a regular basis.I look forward to enjoying many more delicious meals there.

We had pizzas on numerous occasions at Gawler Slice Pizza and have always been happy with the quality of pizzas we've got from this little business. Always catered to our pizza dietary requirements and their pizza base is a winner! Service with a smile these people.
