Contemporary Indian regional cuisine, inspired from the streets of Mumbai. Serving delicacies from Maharashtra and coastal areas nearby !
Great to have some authentic Indian curry in Sri Lanka! The Indian owner was so friendly, gave us some complimentary poppadoms while we checked out the menu. Lovely surroundings, very trendy and nice Indian feel. Food was delicious and all served in lovely attractive Indian bowls. We had Goan fish curry, Mumbai Chicken curry, basmati rice, tempered potato (loved this) and daal. We were very well looked after and made to feel so comfortable. A must try. Wish we had had more time to go back again.

Came here just for lunch while staying in Galle. Really nice location, had lunch out by the pool overlooking the beach. Very extensive and well priced menu. Staff were very friendly. Went for the big seafood banquet option, well worth it. Great tasting food.

Galle's old town is a lovely place, particularly at night. But as we wandered the streets of the fort, we couldn't help noticing that many of the restaurants were empty. Lots of stylish looking places but not enough people to fill them. Indian Hut certainly isn't what you'd call stylish but it was doing better business than most, drawing in a mix of locals and tourists, so we decided to give them a try. Their North Indian menu is quite meaty but you can find a dozen or so vegetarian dishes on the very last page. Not a particularly exciting selection but a few tempting options. Disappointingly they were out of okra so one of our picks wasn't available. In the end we went for kadhai paneer and aloo mattar, which we mopped up with a big pile of tandoori roti. It was nice enough but not great. Prices are reasonable compared to many of the touristy restaurants hereabouts. Our bill, including two soft drinks and a 10% service charge, came to 1,320 rupees.A lot of reviews mention the cats. They are kind of annoying but the waiters do their best to shoo them away. Please don't feed them. It really doesn't help.
You can have Hot Hot Egg Roti (Hot/Spicy) Hot Hot Vegetable Roti Samosa Plain Tea *Closed on rainy days*
This popular street side eaterie serves sublime egg or vegetarian roti - watch the proprietor expand the roti from pre-made balls of dough to translucently thin roti, which are laid on the hotplate- an egg broken into the centre, a spiced vegetable mix added and following folding and turning, you will be presented with a triangular triumph!! Take it to the nearby Galle Fort ramparts and enjoy with the Indian Ocean in front of you. Proper street food!!!Thanks alot for your complements, looking forward to serve better and better for our valued customers with reasonable affordable price.
