We were looking for somewhere new to eat in Droitwich and this place had good reviews. Things started off promisingly enough. Friendly service with drinks and poppadums served quickly, and a nice selection pickles with them. My starter, tandoori paneer tikki was lovely and I was really looking forward to the special biryani. What a disappointment when it came - it was more like friend rice mixed with stew pack meat and one or two tiny prawns. The veg curry sauce was also bland. They didn't even question why I left most of my meal! I'm afraid I wouldn't return on the evidence of this meal.

A big group of us were heading back to a friend's house for the evening, and decided to order a takeaway. Rather than do one massive order, we thought it was best to place separate orders for each couple/family even though this might mean they arrived at slightly different times. The staff were a bit bemused to get a number of phone calls all asking for delivery to the same address, but we explained the situation and they promised to do their best to deliver everything together, although they said it might all take some time. We did have to wait a while, but in the end most of the food arrived in one delivery (divided and labelled with the name of each caller to make payment a bit easier!), all except two meals which took quite a bit longer to arrive. Never mind! I think everyone enjoyed their food, and I was especially impressed with my Lamb Sagwala, which was genuinely one of the best I've ever had.

All of our food is freshly prepared; this includes main meals such as homemade soup of the day with bread of your choice. Bruschettaâs and sandwiches with a choice of fillings, sharing platters, as well as our traditional afternoon tea.

We booked the Indian High tea for 4 as a birthday get-together. Pleasant service, super food, generous portions - and a bonus birthday platter, thank you! Everyone loved it; a bit different and highly recommended.

Terrible asked for a mild curry and gave me attitude when he responded, got the curry and it was at least a hot curry. NEVER AGAIN STAY AWAY.Hi Amy Iâm really sorry to hear that my staff gave you attitude all I can do is apologise on behalf of my staff .in regards to to your curry you didnât mention which mild curry you ordered and if you had mentioned it on the day we would have been more than happy to replace it and even taken it off the bill.

Had food from here a few times and it is all ways been half decent!Something has gone wrong ! New owners? New cook? I donât know but it was the worst Indian meal Iâve ever tasted ! To be fair it was nothing short of vile.

Very busy Friday night. I wonder actually if they overestimate how many diners they can cope with. Atmosphere lovely and different to your usual curry house.Waited probably 1/2 hour for drinks plus another 1/2 hour for food order. I think it was close to 10pm before we got food. This wasnât a huge issue as we werenât in a rush, but when the food eventually did arrive theyâd forgotten the naan. This had to be reordered and didnât arrive for another 5 minutes or so.Good food and served in an interesting way. Restaurant spotlessly clean. Would I return? Maybe but possibly not on a weekend.

My family and I always go to Mendis whenever we want to eat out- we canât resist! The staff are incredibly welcoming and the dining area is cozy, well decorated and has a wonderful ambiance. The food is possibly the best Indian you can get outside of India. A great selection of curries, all vegetarian and with many vegan options as well. Mendo herself (the owner) is amazing- make sure to say hi!
