The gurkhas is situated in the heart of crieff.!!
We were staying in Crieff and having checked the reviews decided to book for dinner. First impressions were not very good, more of a cafe than a restaurant. We have eaten in many Nepalese restaurants and the menu was more Indian with very few authentic Nepalese offerings. Portions were very large with plenty of meat but the sauces were rather strange, nothing like we have tasted before, Prices seemed rather high compared to other Indian restaurants and we would certainly not return or recommend,
Had a takeaway for four. Phoned order and was told waiting time was 45 minutes. Phone early and wait. You will not be disappointed. Loved the lamb dish. Flavours are perfect, spicy and herby. Owner was exceptionally helpful and staff were friendly. Look forward to the next time....soon
These fast food places are a hit and miss especially when travelling and familiar with the town and other take out places. We really lucked out choosing this one. The young guy behind the counter was so helpful and pleasant and the food was very tasty, so tasty we went 2 nights in a row! Highly recommend the lamb karahi and the chicken tikka butter masala!
