Pizzas and curry house, licensed restaurant and takeaway. everything cook fresh to order by our award winning chef
We decided to give this restaurant a second chance because the food is nice but the service needed improvement and unfortunately 3 weeks later nothing has changed. Still good food, however service very slow indeed (15 minute wait for menus and drinks and over an hour for the food). As we have sat in the front of the restaurant both times it is very apparent the kitchen is catering for the busy pizza takeaway and delivery service over and above the orders in the restaurant and they just can't cope with the volume of orders. The chap behind the bar as you walk in also lacks any kind of charm or charisma just pointing you to a table and not once did we see a smile - customer service skills are non existent. We won't be returning. Thanks for taking the time for review and I am glad you enjoyed the food on both visits. Regarding the slow service I am afraid we can't do too much about it unless we start doing a lot of pre cooked food and microwave it so people can be in and out quickl like a lot of other places do. But to be honest I rather listen good food and slow service than fast service and average food. Hopefully you understand my point.

Our annual visit to Bishopâs Castle always starts with a visit to the Chai Shop for Samosas and Bhargies .. freshly cooked and with chill jam to accompany them they are absolutely delicious. Tahira cooks amazing curries and told us the recipes were passed down to her by her mum so are the real thing.. when we arrived she was busy putting the finishing touches to a lamb curry and the aromas had our mouths watering . The Chai Shop is a lovely place to sit and enjoy a tea or coffee with cake , and the local clientele who call in for a takeaway will pass the time of day and chat while waiting for their order to be put together which creates a nice atmosphere The prices are very good and the portions are generous so whatever youâre preference - vegetarian/vegan or meat youâre sure to be back for more , we will !!!

Really fancied an Indian and it didnât disappoint. Staff were very friendly, knowledgable and described the dishes perfectly. All the staff come from Birmingham - Home of the balti. This means they know about taste, flavour and the food was really tasty. Some curry restaurants can be a little bland/play safe with the heat, but not here.Great meal and will definitely return, and even have an eat in meal.

We were in Ludlow for the Food Festival and fancued a curry on the Sunday night. The menu is diffetent from the norm but as it's Ludlow it has to be good. The wine list is excellent. We had a chardonnay bottle and large glass of Chillean merlot both superb.I had lamb shank curry my wife a lamb balti. Both meals were truly delicious. Our side orders were good too. Friendly service and good atmosphere mean we will definately return.

Never been here before so thought we would give it a try. Nice venue and the staff are friendly but not all very knowledgeable. Food was served in good time but was high on cheaper ingredients rather than the meat which was dissapointing considering their prices are top end compared to other restaurants. Will not be rushing back I'm afraid
