Discover Restaurants offering the best Indian food in Coatbridge, Scotland, United Kingdom. Coatbridge (Scots: Cotbrig or Coatbrig, Scottish Gaelic: Drochaid a' Chòta) is a town in North Lanarkshire, Scotland, about 8.5 miles (13.7 km) east of Glasgow city centre, set in the central Lowlands. We are a family run restaurant serving traditional and modern Indian & English food in the heart of Airdrie City Centre. We have a great team of chefs with warm and friendly front office staff. Whatever your group size, whatever your tastes - if you're lo
read the reviews and this place is great value. 20 quid for starters main desert and a 2 cans of drink. ok its not posh and the bhona could have been a bit hotter but at the price it was stunning value. i just wish the door would close on its own as we were close to it and people kept leaving it open. parking is also easy drive to the top of the street 10 yrds away and turn right and very first right for only a 2 min walk. dont park on the street outside as it 30 min no return

In all my years of eating out this would be one of the worst.Mixed pakora. This would have been less over cooked if it had been burried in a volcano for 1000 years. Got a sharp knife to open one up and lets just day the veg could have been fresher. The lamb madras was shocking. Fatty lamb in brown sludge. No fresh herbs. No heat. This is as bad as it could be.Mrs ordered a small chicken tika in a kebab and if you think the curries were bad omg she ended up throwing it away. On the up side the nan bread was huge. Just a shame it was that tough 2 collies could rip it it apart and struggled to eat it!!The worst 23 quid we have spent on food in years.

The Indian Sizzler has been producing high quality, authentic indian cuisine for over 22 years. We have long been one of the top indian takeaways in the West of Scotland and provide a collection and home delivery service.
Terrible experience,on my last 2 visits I've had excruciating stomach cramps and diorrhea and this by having what I thought was a "safe option " chicken tikka kebab.Won't return in the foreseeable future.thanks for the review colin..sorry to hear about your ongoing stomach issues.......maybe you should ask the doctors for a different prescription as you have had cramps after the first visit and still come back for more...what are the chances of that ?????....maybe a visit too the nurse might be better to do a pregnancy test!!!!hope you feel better soon x

Popped in for a quick bite to eat midweek before catching the train to the Hydro this Restaurant is ideal for this purpose whether you are leaving your car in the Whifflet Station car park or arriving at the Restaurant by taxi or the train itself. Service was fortunately both quick and friendly as we were pushed for time . Ordered Vegetable Pakora for starters and South Indian Garlic Chicken , Rice And Nan Bread my wife had Macaroni Cheese and Garlic Bread . Nice tasty Food , no complaints with our 4 drinks the bill came to £45 . Reasonable Prices and Nice Interior.

Have not been for a while so decided to try again. The service and food were fine for the money although the Indian food arrived on the cool side. The battered fish was very good but the chips were not great. Starters were good. When we went to pay they took away our £40 and we waited, and waited for our £7 change. Eventually we had to go to the bar and they had put it in their tip jar. We suspect a bit of a con going on here by the staff member at the bar who said she did not know what she was thinking.Don't like this one bit.Dear ssenitThank you for your review. Firstly let me say from the outset that we as a business do not operate a "con" as you put it in relation to "tips"It would appear from discussing this with the staff member involved you left more money than the amount of the bill. I apologise that the staff member assumed that this was a gratuity and I have advised them, that they must be more diligent when dealing with bills in future. I understand however that as soon as this matter was brought to their attention it was addressed immediately and an apology was given.Overall it appears your food was not an issue and given you opted to try it again, one might assume you had no issue the first time?Thank you for choosing to dine with us and should you wish to discuss this matter further please feel free to contact me at [email protected] Harty

It's been a long while since we have had anything from here but we thought we'd give it a go tonight and ordered takeaway. Some things were ok tasting- like the lamb and the chicken tikka puree but the chicken tikka itself to us was tasteless, the rice was bland and sauce was very thin and watery, prefer a thicker sauce. Portions weren't what we'd have expected for the money but we gave it a try but wouldn't rush back. Staff were very nice though which is a plus.

Shimla Cottage is a family run â100% Real Indianâ Restaurant. We pride ourselves to offer great value for money by providing top quality food, efficient service, friendship and a warm welcome to our customers. We promise to serve exactly same food as you
owner is vile -cheeky to his customers and very ignorant nothing special wont be back nothing but hassle from the minute we sat down was atrocious The owner has the worst customer service i have ever dealt with and he proves it by some of his replies on his reviews clearly cant take the criticism or handle the truth wouldnât recommend to anyoneYour review is very vague apart from attacking the owner you provide very little in-site to your experience (I doubt you even came here ) itâs more likely you have read reviews of our restaurant and thought you would provide one off your own. Letâs say for argument sake you did visit How do you know you were served by the owner did he have a sign saying Hi am the owner and I will be serving you. Along with your drinks and food Iâll throw in some vile and cheeky service so you donât come back. There is nothing we can take from this review apart from that you have 6th sense to spot an owner of a business (even though we wear the same uniform ). And if in the future we need to know the lottery numbers we will be in touch for your help.
