Things to do in Batu Pahat
First time visit this restaurant. They offered variety of dishes. Fried rice, sate, porridge, wantan mee, tandori chicken, naan bread and many more. Tried thier tandori chicken, naan bread, lamb kima and wantan mee. The tandori chicken was juicy and tasty. The naan bread was very fluffy and soft. They use charcoal fire to cook them. No wonder the aroma was wonderfull. Lamb kima was also tasty. Not to forget wantan mee. The noodle cooked just nice and served with flavouful brooth and has a hint of garlic oil.
Where to eat Chinese food in Batu Pahat: The Best Restaurants and Bars
I had been here multiple times, dragged by my family who seem to have attachment to here. Jia Xiang is just an over-hyped normal kopitiam (coffee shop) with none of their food to brag about. There are better roti canai, wanton mee, laksa and porridge elsewhere in Batu Pahat. Personally, I think their nasi lemak is one of the worst I had tasted, the rice lacked the creamy taste while the sambal was just salty, no aroma. I asked my family, why do they love it here and what is the good food here. They couldn't answer me. I think they visit here out of habit. Having to brave the crowd of emotionally attached customer, I always prefer anywhere, but not here, for my meal fix.
This is a casual Malaysian Beriani restaurant serving lamb, chicken n prawn Beriani! We specialize in malay dulang Beriani!
Price is not too expensive, service is good, and the taste of food is good. There is a good amount of parking space. Nearby there are some stalls selling Asam Ikan Pedas which is pretty famous. If this is not open, that is another option to go for.
