Things to do in Arusha
Curry Pot is one of several restaurants located in Njiro Mall. Its location means there's safe (well fairly safe) parking and other things (like the cinema) to do before or after you've eaten. The curry here is pretty good and the portion sizes are generous. Price wise its a little more expensive than most places and I find some of the curries a little rich. I would recommend the dhal and the naan bread.
Well I ventured here with a friend after work and didn't have too many expectations. Firstly I don't like shisha and I like the smell of it even less. The music was too loud to sit outside so we ate inside but the ambiance inside is not as good as out. Wait staff were excellent but one goes to a restaurant to eat. We both didnt finish our food. I realise that in Arusha ingredients are an issue for restaurants but it was just ordinary food.
Delicious hot and spicy Indian food in Arusha, Tanzania. Available by order only. Food is cook per order and not pre cooked.
Some serious BBQ with spice. Good and fast, with a wide selection of dishes and personalised service. I enjoyed the Naan and the Sheesh Kebab as well as Poussin and Masala chips!

Our dinner outing at this hotel was very short but a memorable one in Arusha. Would have missed the food here if we would have opted not to go.... Our Tour operator Mr.Nishit Bhatt from Ambatana tours and safari had arranged our dinner at this place on our return from Ngorongoro Crater on the way to the airport. He had ordered Veg. jalfrezi, paneer tikka masala, Butter Chicken, Butter naan and rice for us.must say the Butter chicken was totally awesome. Loved it a lot...

We recently went on a family trip to Tanzania. While at Arusha, a friend recommended this joint for our dinner. We found that this place was a haven for Indian delicacy. We came here to have Masala dosa but finally left after having Chicken Biriyani too. I was not very sure whether the dosa would taste authentic and so requested the chef. But I was most impressed when I found Ritesh, the owner of Hot Plate himself preparing our dosas. We found the food and service excellent. We decided to have our next day's lunch and dinner there also. The chicken Biriyani was most delicious. We never knew that we would get such authentic Indian cuisine at Arusha. The whole credit for the success of this restaurant lies on the shoulders of Ritesh , the owner. He is an extremely amiable person and takes personal care of the customers.

This restaurant is very close to the African Tulip Hotel. The food, atmosphere and service are top notch. We ate here twice. One night we had the Indian Food and it was excellent. One of its kind, pure vegetarian restaurant in Arusha serving Indian street food. From Pani puri to Pav bhaji... Aloo Parathe to Gujarati Thali, we've got it all. We also cater for events and provide lunch boxes for your adventurous safaris. Welcome to Ar
I had read reviews on tripadvisor and was really looking forward to eating there - perhaps that was the problem? We went with a large group and everyone got their food at different times, some of our group had to wait more than an hour. The owners were apologetic about this, and gave us complimentary samose. The Zanzibar mix - it was alright - the nuts were stale and we removed them. Pani puri was ok, dosas were nice, the chhole were raw and the portion was very small and not worth it. Overall I would not visit again because the food was not that good and the service was very slow despite us being the only people in the restaurant. I think this place could be really great as it is the only place that offers vegetarian food from India (Gujarati/Punjabi/south India) but they need to improve their recipes, portion size and service.Your review was helpful. We are sincerely sorry for the inconvenience caused.

A very good value for money meal. We enjoyed a delicious, big portion, curry and Naan with a bottle of wine. For starters we had the springrolls which are quite big and very tasty. Safe parking. Highly recommended.

We stayed at the African Tulip hotel and ate several meals in this lovely and friendly restaurant. The food, geared to European/American taste, was very good and the staff couldn't have been friendlier. The ambiance was great, too, with the artificial (but fairly realistic) Baobab tree in the center of everything.
