On a short visit to Abergavenny my sister and I literally came across Tamarind as we arrived and it was just opening for the evening. The service was lovely and I was served the tastiest Asian meal I have ever had. I can't wait to visit again and will time it so that we come to this restaurant, no need to look elsewhere.

Contemporary decor. Slightly relaxed service. My husband had a fish curry which he enjoyed very much. I had a mushroom Biriyani..... had to hunt out the mushrooms. We started with the poppadoms.... cold and a little stale.I won't say the restaurant should be avoided but I won't go again.

My wife and I visited Spice Lounge on a couple of occasions recently whilst on holiday in the Abergavenny area. The restaurant appears to be going through some renovations (we were told they were still working on the upstairs), but found the place very comfortable and well decorated. Staff were friendly and efficient and the menu varied. We eat a lot of Asian/Indian food and whilst the food we ordered was good on all visits, we found it a tad lacking in flavour and depth to achieve 5 stars from us, as compared with other similar restaurants we have eaten at.We would recommend Spice Lounge as it does represent good value.

Ate here on a quiet Tuesday night this week with two friends. I ordered butter chicken and Bombay potatoes. This was probably the best Indian meal I have had, far better than previous versions, rich and tasty. My biggest gripe was that I couldn't finish it all. I would definitely return.

Welcome to Regency 59.Nestled in the Heart of Abergavenny town and street bustling with independent boutiques, family businesses and market hall, Regency 59 is the definition of the modern Nepalese and Indian Restaurant. Not only do we serve fine Nepalese
Second visit here but will say not as good as the first time. My starter i didn't feel was worth the money, the plate was filled with sauce and the mains were ok but nothing special.

Stopped in at the Gurkha corner for a birthday lunch, was a bit worried by the small menu as used to experimenting with some Indian style dishes. Although the menu is limited the flavours were excellent.I would highly recommend this place do not be put off by the menu.

We had just returned from a long train journey and hope to get a meal, although we hadn't made a booking. We were shown a table immediately, staff were attentive, and the food came within a reasonable time. The combination of dishes complemented each other, all were a generous portion and we had just the right quantity. The quality was good, although the lamb in the passband was rather overcooked.
