Off the main streets, making it almost a secret spot away from tourists, is the Fehér Rózsa. We had traditional Hungarian food at its best. Really. Hortobágyi palacsinta as an appetizerBreaded chicken liver with mashed potatoesVadas with bread dumplings (deer meat)Gundel palacsinta (dessert crêpe)The sauces were all spot on.The liver and deer meat were cooked to perfection. The dessert was made with the freshest walnuts. The service was on point and truly excellent. Timing of the dishes exchange and warm and professional attitude. The prices were humble and added a pleasant surprise to the whole, truly rewarding experience. These were true original flavors of traditional Hungarian Cuisine. We dropped by for lunch and the tables in the charming inner yard were all reserved but for one. We were lucky. There are seats available inside. And they take reservations and also offer delivery service (!)You can also find out the incredible history of the place on their website.I highly recommend it.

Dinner for five,in a Saturday evening.House was not full but, you feel the "lack" of space ( due to the too big and too empty aquarium or to the small tables ?).Not all the hungarian "palinkas" and the wine list have to be improved, too.Food is fresh cooked but not specially tasty. Nice terrace outside , relaxing if not the nearly bus station....Service not professional but, friendly .Decent restaurant for decent prices but , nothing special .

There were four of us: a little girl (4), a demanding woman, a fast food lover and quite an average restaurant-goer. We all found something that fit our demand in the menu. I really recommend chicken with goose liver and apples. The service was average and prices a bit higher than usual, but the overall impression was good, food tasty and the place is also a good starting point for city tour.

Lovely, family-friendly restaurant with its own parking lot inside, with a nice, windy, not hot terrace where smoking is forbidden ( so it wont disturb anyone). The menu is simple but great, offers fresh, well-known hungarian fish dishes, but if are not into fish, you can choose chicken and turkey also, as well as salads. Price is good, and the service was quick, friendly and professional. They also knew about glutenintolerance, i was able to eat here :) it is more like a family restaurant, not a "fancy" fine dining place. I will return if i can !

I have taken many guests here, each time satisfied with service and food. My Japanese friends especially enjoyed the "halászlé" or Fish Soup. The owner remembers you if you have visited previously. Inside is very pleasant atmosphere, outside good in the summer. Many guests stop during bicycle tour.
Hazafelé Sopronból kerestünk egy cukrászdát és találtunk is. Valószinűleg pizzát is lehet itt enni , de mi maradtunk a süteményeknél. Ãtlagosak voltak de ehetÅek.

5min out of the city center, but worth the walk. We had excellent local food on a nice terrasse. It is just a pity that they serve Heineken and not a local beer, but we were so thurtsty that it made the job!

We went to eat for the reviews and did not disappoint. They have treated us very well, the food dishes, particularly those made with goose liver, the variety of wines they gave us and the treatment are unbeatable. The food well presented, plentiful and with an excellent flavor mix. We have found ourselves at home and the owner with his explanations has been very helpful. Congratulations for the great work for so many years.Dear Guest, thank you very much for your stay and for taking your pressures time to write your kind comments. We would be delighted to welcome you back again.Best wishes and regards,Gyula Bausz

The Royal Bistro is mostly represented by the gems of traditional Hungarian cuisine on the palette of Sopron gastronomy, but the finest of International cuisine is also included in our offer. Whats unique in Sopron, our restaurant uses fresh Aberdeen Angu
I was there before Christmas and ordered a steak medium. The steak was just as requested and the waiter also recommended a good local red wine for me. Dear Guest,Thank you for the kind review. We even improved our steaks, know we source from local suppliers fresh meat for the steaks from one of the most re-known ranches in Hungary for their Aberdeen Angus meat.We are looking forward to your next visit!Best regards,Pal Szilagyi, director
