You see them making fresh tortillas at the entrance and that tips you off to what's inside. We went two days in a row and tried four different dishes to really get a good feel for their menu. Carmelitta's daughter waited on us and explained all the dishes to us. Great breakfasts.

A little off the beaten path but well worth the effort to find!A really nice restaurant with a view to something a little different.Nice location, excellent decor, attentive service and most importantly, great food!We decided to try four of the appies which turned out to be a good choice.It was a toss up between the Carnitas tacos and the Crispy brussel sprouts as the top dish. Both very flavourful, varied ingredients and well presented. The tacos, flat out delicious and the sprouts with quinoa, crushed almonds and a very nice sour cream and cilantro dipping sauce. The tomato and cucumber salad, very nice and tasty, excellent presentation. The local fish crudo, ceviche style was very nice. We also enjoyed a Chilean Chardonnay. Chef Robert has carved out an excellent niche at Loot. Highly recommended!

Stopped for lunch on Saturday. Restaurant had one other client. Absolutely no welcome at all, rather a feeling we were infringing on their time. Ordered a margarita and a pina colada, the latter of which was quite awful.Rather then pursue this further discomfort, we left. Having traveled in Mexico for over 30 years, this restaurant is appalling.So many other great friendly places in Zihua.Hello, we are sorry that the bad time you had, hopefully and give us another opportunity to prove that our restaurant is actually totally the opposite of what you describe. We hope and consider it, that we wait for you back.

This hidden little gem is delightful! They have a daily special. Last weeks was a wonderful lentil/garbonzo veggie burger...with a perfect bun and filled with leafy greens, tomato and a nice sauce/ mayo. It came with homemade potato chips and a hibuscus apple ice tea. The staff is lovely...they offered refills and had a nice array of dessert choices too. Their new hours are 8 am til 4 pm. With lunch from 1 pm til 4 pm. You can eat in or take out. I'm coming back to see what they have for breakfast!!
