Popped in here again as we usually do when in Colchester. Can honestly say an excellent place for lunch. Nice secret garden at the back which you wouldnât know was there. Very friendly staff great food and perfect prices. Give it a try you wonât be disappointed.

First visit when viewing houses in the area.We booked lunch, rustic country interior, polite and helpful staff.The roast beef and lamb lunches were on the expensive side over £16, and the meat portions could have been larger, however the potatoes, Yorkshire Pudding, veg and gravy were delicious. Good selection of beer, the house Red was acceptable at a reasonable price.Worth a visit.

This place is at the martial arts gym near screwfix, we popped in for coffee and hot mince pieâs to waste a few mins, whilst there I read the menu on the wall and was flabbergasted by the variety so I had pancakes with bacon and they were very nice, I will be going back to try the king prawn with segments of grapefruit with infused spiced rumâ Iâll get the wife to drive me home âCheers chef Thank you it was a pleasure to serve you and chat to you about the menu especially given your level of interest and I look forward to serving you again soon
