We ate here twice during our week in Tossa. We can only vouch for the pizze as we did not try the pasta. My wife visited Naples in her teens (late 60s) and has been searching for an acceptable standard of pizzaâ ever since with very limited success. In fact this is only the second to satisfy her high standard on 50 years. The place gets satisfyingly busy so booking or an early visit would be advisable.

great setting, average service that needs improvement. Not ideal for a romantic night only because children are allowed in the evenings for dinner. Not great selection of drinks.They have the most amazing chocolate and hazelnut pudding you could have ever tried. El Castell Vell ha sido, es y será un restaurant para familias con niños, sobre todo teniendo en cuenta que en verano los niños van con sus padres de vacaciones y son parte importante de nuestros clientes. De hecho, con frecuencia recibimos familias enteras compuestas por tres generaciones, abuelos, padres, (los cuales antes han venido siendo niños de la edad de sus hijos ahora), y sus hijitos compartiendo con ellos viejas experiencias de sus vacaciones, de antaño, de Tossa y del Castell Vell.Agradecemos sus consejos, los cuales aplicaremos gustosamente, si es necesario, valoramos su mención al gran entorno que nos regala la naturaleza, rodeados por la Muralla Medieval, donde nos encontramos y que nos diga que se llevó un dulce recuerdo del " mejor postre de chocolate que ha probado hasta el momento". I ordered a take away here because it smelt so nice when walking past. Chicken tikka balti with pilau rice and peshwari naan.It was really good. The flavour was fantastic and meat was perfect.Rice and naan perfect too.Reasonably priced but I think they should take discount off for take away.So good I returned next day.

The avocado toast is sooo good! The hummus was nice too. Cappuccinos were great as were the pastries. Servers are very nice and accommodating. Wish there were high chairs available.
