Brick and Mortar est. 2003. Thoughtfully crafted eats since 1999. Located at 2900 Broad street in beautiful San Luis Obispo, CA. Taste is "your local eatery"
We spent a day in San Luis Obispo and wanted a casual place to eat and have a beer with our meal. Taste came up on TA and seemed like a good choice. We were very happy with the choice. We each had a trio (mine: black and blue burger, Cuban I and Italian sprouts; spouse: Gouda burger, garlic fries, and French Brussels). Mine were all excellent. Spouse said her Brussels were the best, but fries could have been crispier. We each had the draft IPA which was excellent. Although the place looks like controlled chaos, Micaela, our server was attentive, efficient and friendly. All wait staff seemed organized and collegial. Taste clearly met our expectations.

Since 1980, the Rizzo family has been serving authentic Italian cuisine in San Luis Obispo's Historic Railroad District. Enjoy homemade pastas, steaks, and seafood made from the finest local ingredients--classic dishes like Osso Buco with Saffron Risotto
We love Cafe Roma and have given it five stars on prior reviews. We love the warm and comfortable ambiance as soon as we walk in. We enjoy the location, away from downtown. The staff are always exceptionally friendly (weâre talking about you, Marcus!). The wine selections are very good and the menu choices are interesting and dependable. Weâre always intrigued by their daily specials and have had an excellent experience with them. On this visit we ordered both of the specials, an Eggplant Parmesan and Halibut. The halibut was very good, although a bit understated in its seasoning and flavor. The eggplant dish was only average, both in presentation and preparation. Itâs the first dish Iâve had here that I would not order again. Before the entrees we shared a Cafe Roma Salad, which we think is one of the best in town. Itâs big enough to share.Service on this visit was as personable as always but somewhat slow and inattentive, which we felt was mostly a kitchen issue. The restaurant wasnât very crowded so there wasnât an obvious reason for the delays. Because we had an engagement later in in the evening, the delay kept us from ordering dessert, which weâve often thoroughly enjoyed here. So, a bit off step on this visit, but nothing that will keep us from returning again very soon.

Urbane Cafe is a fast casual, friendly neighborhood cafe, serving health conscious people a great tasting sandwich, salad and meal. The heart of every restaurant is in the details that takes place in our scratch kitchens. We work hard to make life delicio
My family, friends and I always enjoy eating here. They offer great sandwiches, salads and soups with fast and friendly service. Their ingredients are always fresh and the food is nicely prepared. Vegetarian and vegan options are available. On this most recent visit three of us had the Cilantro Chicken Salad with chipotle ranch dressing. It was exactly what we wanted. The chicken was very nicely flavored. Just the right amount, too. We will return!
Where to eat Japanese food in San Luis Obispo: The Best Restaurants and Bars
It's hard to overeat because the portions are small. You can always fill up with fries though. The service is a bit slow, and it seems like their servers need more practice. I hope they'll get up to speed over time. Many vegan/vegetarian options. Although on one of the poster displays has lots of positive wordings such as "Organic & All Natural/Antibiotics & Hormones free/Pesticides free/GMOs free/Sustainable/Environment Friendly/ Healthful & Nutritious/Herbicide free/Humanely & Pasture raised ...." Think about it, there's really nothing humane when you slaughter the animals and eat them. Glad they do offer vegan burgers, and they should make the vegan options less pricey for the humans who want to be humane.
