Reviews on Healthy food in Rawai, Phuket, Thailand. Rawai is an off-the-beaten-path area of Phuket that attracts devotees of Muay Thai martial arts. Training centers here teach all levels, from absolute beginner to world champion. On the opposite end of the vacation spectrum, there’s the Phuket Seashell Museum, an immense collection of delicate specimens from around the world. A visit to the Sea Gypsy Village on the eastern end of Rawai Beach is a transformative experience.

As most reviewers have written that the staff and owner often goes out of their way to help and assist every restaurant patrons. Thatâs absolutely right. They are very jovial and make you feel very comfortable about the area and Thai as a whole. Great job, thatâs really needed in this stressful world when patrons would be able to chat with genuine and wonderful people. Ambience:Very classic street side Restaurant in sexy Rawai area. True Kampung (Asian village) feeling when you dine here. However this is a non air conditioned restaurant so be prepared to sweat and gulp few Thai coconut if you headed here in the afternoon. Food: Most non Asians who complimented about food here is well justified. However, for an Asian palette: especially Malaysians and Singaporeans who loves stinging spiciness in their tongue might find the food here a little more adjusted towards to western tourist palette. Only one flak, the fried rice need to be improved as the taste is quiet bland. I would still recommend folks who love good food to head here and support a local entrepreneur for betterment of Thai tourism in a whole.

I like my curries and Highway Curry is 5 minutes from where we were staying so I thought we'd give it a try, not expecting it to be as we discovered. I wanted a starter and like my onion bhaji. I hadn't had one for years so that was ordered. Then my wife ordered a starter. Little did we know that four good size freshly cooked onion bhaji's would arrive and they were really excellent. I've had overcooked greasy fried onion balls before, but this wasn't them. These were perfection personified. Hot, crispy and very tasty. My wife had a hot bread, a roti or nan and good job too. For a main course I had a lamb curry, and asked for spicy. I have no problems with Madras or spicy foods, and this was delicious. Spicy, but not palate destructive. My wife had one of the "sizzling" plates and it too was superb, and very quickly devoured. All in all an excellent choice of venue. Since eating there I have had many friends who are of the same opinion. If you want a very good curry, inexpensive but high quality, Highway Curry is a must. The staff are lovely and helpful with suggestions. Food is hot, fresh, and a lot of it. We took "doggy bags" back for our son. Another visit is on the list.Greetings from Highway Curry - Indian & Thai Cuisine @Karon, Phuket !!Thank you for sharing your dining experience at Highway Curry - Indian & Thai Cuisine.
