We were exploring the area and tried to find something on tripadvisor for the area and nothing came up. We were in São Luis where there really isn't much but quite pretty and tried our luck at restaurante o Pinguim. Amazing Portuguese food, simple but super tasty. The fish which we didn't have looked incredible. It's off the beaten track and not in a busy town but definitely worth it. The owner is super friendly and pointed us out to a hidden gem of a place called Pego das Pias make sure to check out the waterfall too which isn't too far. Enjoy the countryside here. Obrigado.Thank you
Traditional Portuguese food, diversity and innovation, use of sweet potatoes and other regional products, vegan and vegetarian option.
