Reviews on Healthy food in Montauk, New York, United States. A 200-year-old lighthouse serves as a beacon for the Long Island town of Montauk, where fishing, beachcombing, kayaking and surfing vie for your attention. Pack a camera and binoculars for seal watching walks in Montauk Point State Park during the winter. Second House, a 1700s cottage built for East Hampton shepherds, adds to the local history. Summer season brings live music to the town's pubs and cafes. Hither Hills State Park provides access to ocean swimming, a 40-acre freshwater pond and camp sites.

Established in 1985, Naturally Good Foods and Cafe is Montauk's primary health food store. We offer organic produce and groceries, cosmetics, vitamins and herbs, as well as a full service breakfast and lunch menu. We cater to early risers and beach goers
We went here during a rainy, windy afternoon. Grabbed the menu and set our minds on The Bruce and Lauren's Go-to. I expected a naturally good vibes and customer service to accompany the Naturally Good Food...to our disappointment, that didn't happen. A brunette at a registed seemed to be annoyed we've bothered her by walking up to the counter. Our, "what is the soup of the day?" question got, "it's written up there" answer. I've lifted my eyes to the wall behind her expecting a list of soups. To my surprise, it was one soup that was apparently too difficult to pronounce for her. We were glad that our resort was right around the corner to take our sandwiches to and enjoy them without the toxic attitude of the young lady at the counter. As we walked out with our food, I couldn't help but wonder if our money were just a little less green than the money from other customers or the cashier was just in a bad mood... With that said, The Bruce was very delicious with well balanced flavors. I would definitely go for it again...if someone could pick it up for me to avoid the loss of an appetite related to the lack of customer service skills. Lauren's Go-to was not as successful for me. However, if you like the taste of hot sauce, it might be for you.

Great place for a casual fish lunch or dinner - everything from chowders to catch of the day is super fresh and well prepared. Prices kinda reasonable for pricey Montauk. Sunset views from 2nd floor dining room adds to the charm. Service fine by waitresses who've been around the block a few times. Place is usually packed with groups and families even in off-season, so a bit of a wait is possible. Worth it.

The Backyard Restaurant is inspired by a healthy approach to diet and lifestyle â but not obsessive in its goal. We are all about good, wholesome, fresh, natural ingredients and sources (organic meats and vegetables from the local farmerâs markets, fresh
Judging on the roaches I saw in the adjoined hotel - I would stay away form this place. The GM here is one of the rudest people I have even had contact with.
