Dropped in to El Cabane after snorkelling nearby. The setting is right on the beach, walk up to the bar, sand virtually all the way. Cool swings at the bar, casual tables, and chairs with cushions dotted around beneath shady trees. A few deckchairs, loungers and a hammock make it a ralaxed place for refreshments at any time. Menu is simple but good and fresh. I had a lovely mango salad $35 Barbados, and the quinoa salad was also good though a light portion. They don't stay open too late but would be a great place for sunset with cocktails and a simple early supper.

My husband is a lover of Speightstown so for his birthday this year I decided we would go for breakfast in the area. Not being familiar with the eating places in the area a quick Google search brought up Island Plates and I decided to give it a try. We were definitely not disappointed and my family will definitely be back perhaps to try lunch next time around in the very near future. There is a quaint quietness to the area and the food and service were excellent - I had the eggs and baked beans, my husband the omelette and my sons had egg and sausage and pancake and sausage. The food is prepared fresh which is definitely a bonus and clearly with attention to detail. Pat (the chef/co-owner) even packed a little something extra in our take away bag as a birthday treat for my husband! :-)Thank you. It was really a pleasure to have met your family.Marie & I are happy that you had such a positive experience with us and that you are already planning your return trip!Enjoy your evening! Marie & Pat

Had breakfast here a few days after they reopened I believe with a new owner. It was just finding itâs feet I think as the waitress that took our order looked very nervous and only oneOrange juice arrived instead of two but that was fine I didnât say anything as we could see that it was a little chaotic for them as very busy, waitress in charge I think, was lovely but they needed more staff out front, breakfast was great very tasty couldnât fault it, would go back but as a treat as expensive for what it was.Thank you so much for your input and positive review! You are correct Relish is under new ownership! yes it always takes a few steps to get ballet set up and running!
