Highly recommended. We were roaming the Town centre just after 8 am, looking for breakfast, and most eating places were not open, so we found this by chance. So glad we did. Great value. Full English, huge portions, and really friendly people. Looked like there are plenty of regulars, always a good sign. The "Small Breakfast" is probably big enough for most, and even better value!

Ordered food, then chef went for break and sat out the front of shop. When the chef finished his break he then proceeded to cook our breakfast! The ownerâs teenage daughters and friends were very loud constantly clicking on/off some igniter, They congregated around counter area until finally told to move. They then hung around restaurant area. I noticed two potential customers walk in, then leave! The poached egg was over cooked with cold toast! In my opinion, the place is not as nice, respectful as used to be when was Neates, such a shame! I would not visit again.. In my opinion, quite rough around edges, with an Eastenders feel!Thank you for your feedback ...May I please make you aware that the young people who were in my cafe were in fact my children who I hadnât seen for 3 days and they were very excited. Also the noise that u spoke off is a fidget gadget that my daughter uses. They are for children who suffer with social anxiety & adhd (something my 13 year old daughter has been diagnosed with), Just so you know if u hear this noise in the future that it helps with their anxiety! Our chef works from 9am - 5pm so I think itâs only fare that he has a break from time to time. Iâm somewhat confused with your comment with regards to the food being over cooked & cold, If you had told us this then we would of changed it immediately or refunded you for it, But given that your plate was left empty I assumed you enjoyed it. So I apologise for that. We do not try to be the same as Neates , We are a completely different style. I like your comment regarding us being something from eastenders though, As we are a very welcoming and friendly family run business who receive lots of positive reviews and feedback. Iâm sorry to hear that you didnât enjoy our company. But you canât please everyone I guess although we do try

phoned for a takeaway friday night about 7.30 and placed an order of numerous dishes which came to £55.00 it arrived within half an hour all good so far.we opened up the containers and thought we had the wrong order at first because a few dishes did not resemble what we had ordered.egg fried rice hunt the egg 98 percent ricespecial fried rice hunt the special bits 95 percent ricebeef curry 50 percent beef but tasted like watery stock cubechicken chow mein 95 percent noodlessquid dish averagecrispy beef averagebattered prawns very good.so to sum up i think the chef was drunk. After complaining we were re-embursed £15.30 for 3 dishes .Will struggle to phone xing fu againHi dear customer, I am sorry of the bad experience that you had. We always look into customers comments seriously and try to resolve it. But for the food you have order the other night once the driver brought back those three dishes, they are completely looks and tastes fine for us. One thing we donât put any color into our egg and we try to keep our dishes especially the rice and noodle as healthy as possible so would be no MSG and very less oil and salt. Xing fu special rice thatâs very traditional Yangzhou style which we eat in China southern area, without any wet sauce so make it easy accompanied with any type of dishes. Our curry is one of our best selling Hong Kong styled dish, itâs light without grease, no coloring aid, no old oil which you can often see in the other place. We eat what we sell, the food quality is guaranteed. But you are absolutely right the food at Xing Fu is slightly more expensive then the average takeaways itâs basically only because the quality of source food, meat, seafood and even the cleaning staff we used. We are pleased with your feedback and shared your view with us, hope you are understanding our food and cooking methods bit more after my explanation. Xing Fu

We are a creative cafe offering healthy home-made food. Each morning all our menu is prepared and cooked freshly to be served on our counter along with 4 healthy salads. We have a wide selection of cakes, many are gluten free and vegan. We offer breakfast
Truly the best food in Eastbourne, I often come here. You will enjoy homemade veggie salads from the counter, plus many more from the menu. The cakes are homemade and amazing! This is my first choice and especially if I have family or friends visiting, I always take them here. Pure culinary heaven, and I know what im talkin about as I am French and I know about good quality food. Vegan and vegetarian mostly.

Independent modern British cafe-restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner plus great coffee, wines and cocktails. We source our ingredients from as local as possible and everything is cooked from scratch by the chef-owner.
16 Aug Skylark Eastbourne. Visited on a Friday evening for dinner and glad we booked as the restaurant was full. We were delighted to find a good range of cocktails on the menu so we each enjoyed one while we considered the menu, which is short and full of local and seasonal ingredients. We both found it very easy to find dishes we'd like and found all the food to be incredibly high quality and exceptionally well prepared. The wine list has some excellent local and UK labels and we thoroughly enjoyed our choice. Service was excellent with all staff being lovely & helpful. We chatted to the lady co-owner and were interested to learn how the business was formed. They definitely have the ideal pairing of skills to to run a great restaurant. I'd very highly recommend the restaurant and will definitely return. Only one tiny niggle: I didn't find the seating comfortable. Some slightly larger / more padded seating would be a great upgrade please!
