We arrived at Luces at 8 and by 8:20 it was full. The restaurant is run by a Russian couple and is attended by the owners. The menu offers a mix of russian, spanish and international dishes. Don't expect a 2⬠mayonaisse filled tapas though. As appetizer we got a croquette sampler ( not sure the sample is on the menu, but you can ask the owner) and ceviche. The ceviche is somewhere in the middle between an ahi tuna tartar and tuna ceviche. The croquettes were deliciuos. Don't miss them!Going to the main course. Being half Russian myself, I was tempted by "kotleta with grechka" ( russian meatballs with buckwheat) but ended up ordering lamb with couscous. My wife got salmon. Both were excellent and also had a very nice presentation. ( See the pictures)As for wine we ordered a bottle of local ( Murcian) white wine. It was a Monastrell grape, Jumilla D.O, but I forgot to take a picture if the bottle. The service. Since you are attended by the owners, they DO want you to be happy and the service is very personalized. That said, if you want a quick meal, it's not yout place. Think of a Michelin star restaurant at 1/3 of the price.Thank you so much, gsala, for you detailed review and the rate you gave us!We hope you can come again some day and try other dishes of our menu!Cheers,The Team Luces

After seeing the mainly good reviews of this place we decided on a lunchtime visit around 2pm. It looks perfectly ordinary, decor simple ( lots of twigs ), but comfortable. Seated, we were immediately offered drinks and a plate of breads with sobrasada. We ordered a few things to start and then a few more small platters off the tapas menu to continue. It was heavenly. The cauliflower and garlic croquettes were smooth and chewy with a lovely tang of garlic. The Chorizo Picante with oloroso wine was just so juicy and tasty there was barely enough bread to mop up the rich sauce. But the Patatas Bravas were simply the best we have had, with a bitter hot sauce. Heavenly. Sadly the Crayfish was not available ( to me this simply says that everything is fresh and if it ainât there it ainât there !), but the pork in beer and spring vegetables was so flavourful, along with a lovely mushroom plate and some Russian salad. A Cafe Bonbon made with the darkest strongest espresso I have had finished it off beautifully. After all that, two beers and two no alcohol beers, we were simply stunned that something so good could come to less than â¬25.Suffice to say we will be going back, this is real, good quality spanish food, ( the restaurant is full of locals, what more proof do you need ) with friendly and efficient service. Totally recommended.HelloThank you very much for the comment you have given us. It has really left us pleasantly surprised and very satisfiedWe peserve you soonA warm greeting from the entire team
