In 1882, the Old Power Station brought power to the Cape Town dockyard, blazing a trail for trade in Cape Town and the African continent. Today, this powerhouse of innovation is still generating bright ideas through the V&A Food Market â an artisanal stre
The best part of the V&A Food Market is that there is something for everyone, ranging from sweet to savory. It can be problematic if you're ravenous as everything looks so tasty you would just want to buy everything. We grabbed some beers and went up the first floor to enjoy some pizzas and afterwards rounded them off with delicious crepes. The atmosphere was very energetic as the market was bustling, but not overcrowded, and there was live music as well. It's more suited for small to medium sized groups. Definitely planning on visiting again.

HOW IT WORKS No menus, no waiters, no fancy décor, just three meal choices. Sound horrific? Depends on how much you like good food and dislike the fuss that normally surrounds it. Here, the chefs serve you lunch or dinner, Monday to Friday and literally,
The restaurant is delivering what it promises but in my opinion the experience could be better with just few different details. For example, one is to make a slightly wider offer, maybe with some additional dishes or choices. Price-quality is excellent and the personnel very nice and kind. I liked a lot the place. Be careful with the address for not being confused with other restaurants with similar names.

Rockpool boasts one of the best views of any restaurant in Cape Town and is situated mere meters from the Atlantic Ocean. The reasonably priced cocktails and great food makes Rockpool a favourite amongst locals.
Some of the food at our table was excellent, 1 not so. The fish and. Hips were great, the wrap was great but not the grilled bacon, tomato, avocado, etc. (BRAT). I ordered it on rye bread. Not rye like we have in the U.S. this was so hard it couldnât even be cut with a knife. I asked for bread that was not toasted/grilled. They actually charged 5r more for rye bread. After we had already ordered a sign was placed on the tables of a buy 1 get 1 free special on burgers and pizza. That would have been nice to know ahead of ordering. Wait staff extremely nice and helpful in getting stroller up and down the steps.
