We enjoyed the food very much, Hawaiian BBQ and burgers were great. They offer breakfast too. Best is to get the food to go and go somewhere around the area to eat it, there are great beaches and parks just blocks away from the restaurant. We ate once there and the atmosphere was not very good.

We were staying in beach cabins nearby and wanted a close, quick meal. L&L did the trick. The food was good, the prices right, and the servings were generous enough. There is dining on site but we took it all to go.I sort of had the feeling the clerk was not used to seeing tourists. She was polite in every respect but you had a distinct feeling this eatery was "for the locals."

Stopped here for lunch after snorkeling at Electric Beach while driving up to Makaha. Not bad! Generous portions but the macaroni in the mac salad was overlooked & kind of mushy. I had the BBQ chicken plate lunch & chicken was tasty yet had a bit of fat & skin still on it. The only hot sauce they had was Tabasco, no Sriracha, which kind of sucked.

A visitor told us about this lovely place just down the road from where we live! Stopped by for happy hour's 1/2 price starters and we were DELIGHTED! Calamari, kalua pig nachos, spring rolls...wonderful! Absolutely stunning ocean views, dolphins in the morn, surfers/sunset in the eve.Free parking, (DOD inside, civilians just outside), clean clean clean as can be!

Hungry after hike at Ma'ili pillbox. Read about Countryside Café, so we headed to eat lunch there. Shared the ono kalua pig benedict with fried rice. Also shared refreshing, good charcoal coconut smoothie. Food was delicious and sufficient. Service was fast. Staff was friendly. Nice outside patio seating with breeze to cool us off after hiking.

Fantastic food. Super nice staff. Very fresh and incredible variety of toppings. Limited seating, but can take out or sit outside on park benches. Worth a visit. They buy locally from fisherman. Observed them coming in and selling just caught fish. Best part of our vacation in Hawaii!
