Named Best Lobby Lounge on the island by the readers of Maui No Ka Oi Magazine, The Alaloa Lounge at The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua offers an extensive menu of specialty cocktails, domestic and imported beers, premium spirits and signature appetizers and desse
We had appetizers and/or drinks several nights during our stay. The bar is reverbished & chic. You can sit at the long bar w/comfy bar stools, at several high top tables or at the couch/chair seating areas. Always a nice breeze thru open air doors, usually nightly entertainment, limited but yummy menu. All but 1 (we called him "Mr Personality" under our breath) of the bartenders are great...talkative, pour a nice pour and the Ritz Mai Tai is their specialty...Mr Personality should find a new profession...Each appetizer was excellent and shareable. We'd spend atleast $100 on cocktails each time but the atmosphere was awesome and made you want to linger. Several huge TV's so you don't miss whatever sport is on. You can also sit outside ocean view w/firepit...

I wouldnât return. There was nothing truly awful about this restaurant but then again there was nothing good about it either. First the service was slow and unprofessional. Our server hardly checked on us and while he was friendly to us he berated other staff right in front of us and entire restaurant and was completely unapologetic about it. Letâs get to the food. I appreciate that they offer the impossible burger for and one in our party enjoy her fish special enough to eat the entire meal (hence the 2.5 rating). Everything else was pretty Meh. They offer almost nothing gluten free. You can get plain fish(boring) or a lettuce wrapped burger. There are no gf pasta options, the pasta with kale would have been so yummy with a zucchini noodle (so easy to do!!!), no gf bun either. Plus they wonât cook your burger your way. My lettuce wrapped burger came out very very well done it was so tough it was hard to chew. Couldnât even get half of it down. Overall disappointed in our visit. I canât imagine this restaurant will last much longer without some major changes.

We looked for some place to eat which would not be upscale but solid in terms of food, quality and reviews. This restaurant is in the middle of some shopping area, probably, would not have found it were it not for the reviews. We didn't see too many tourists, seemed mostly locals, which is a good sign for us. Menu is extensive and we ordered the short ribs, curry noodles and a pork dish. Must say food tasted amazing. Definitely an Asian/Philippine twist, perfectly seasoned and good portions. Very efficient service and nice staff. Good valu for money considering you are in Maui.

I would recommend an early dinner here so you can enjoy the view. There is a happy hour that has a lot to offer that ends at 4:30. We ate at a more normal dinner time and enjoyed food and the service.

Burger Shack is a casual, oceanfront hideaway where guests can savor signature burgers, whimsical shakes and a selection of featured cocktails, craft and local beer. This alfresco dining venue is the ideal spot to enjoy a meal or simply cocktails with fri
While staying at the Ritz, we wandered down to the Burger Shack on DT Fleming Beach. We had numerous people tell us this was the âbestâ burger on the Island. I had the Aliâi burger ($24) and if this is the best in Maui, someone needs to train everyone on how to make a burger. I have had better in run of the mill chain restaurants. Bun was dry, meat was overcooked, the sliver of cheese wasnât melted and it was sparse on lettuce, tomato and onions. The sweet potato fries, however were superb and could have been the best Iâve ever had.View is wonderful and setting is charming right on the beach.

Highlighted by a hand-crafted bar wrap-around bar allowing for an open concept with expansive views, the restaurantâs transformation pays homage to the history of banyan trees in Hawaii as a gathering place to meet and share a meal. Chef Bellaâs vibrant n
The Banyan Tree dubs itself as "classic Hawaiin with a twist." Our experience did not live up to Ritz Carlton standards that we have experienced in other locations. The menu was limited with only 5 non-shelfish entrees and the restaurant was out of chicken which is what my wife wanted to order. She ordered the filet instead that was supposed to come with Fingerling potatoes. The Fingerlings were sliced and fried and obviously held in some warmer for an extended period of time. They were also found to be extremely salty. So much for normal expectations of Fingerling sautéed in butter and appropriately seasoned. My Mahi Mahi was served on a bed of Coconut slaw which I found to be overwhelming for Mahi Mahi flavors. We complained about the Fingerlings, were told by manager that is just how they are prepared and were not offered an alternative. Unusual for Ritz or any Marriott to not make extra effort to please customer.

This is a great place to stop to grab a bite to eat or do some shopping. It is a large store with a coffee and lunch bar plus a store with everything needed for your Maui vacation. There are lots of souvenirs, wine, food and everyday items, all at reasonable prices. The staff is helpful and friendly. There are even tables outside to enjoy your snacks or meals. It is located in Kapalua which is a beautiful area.

We brought friends for their first visit to Gazebo for breakfast on our last day in Maui. We arrived at about 6:30 AM, and were able to make the first seating of the day. We think they changed their opening to 7:30 AM since our last visit. The combo pancakes are my favorite and my wife tried a half-order of the fried rice. The fried rice was very good as well, but it's just not a breakfast dish for me. Our friends also tried the fried rice as well as an omelet. Everyone left full and happy with their meals; the extra fried rice went back to the condo for the kids who did not want to wake up early enough to go to breakfast.

Enjoyed the wonderful view and loved that we could walk from our place in Napili Gardens. Reservations are a must. Server kind to suggest a half portion each of the delicious diver scallops with creamed corn and fish of the day as I couldnât decide between the two. That was perfect!

In 2010 Judy and Mark opened Honu Seafood & Pizza 20 feet away from Mala Ocean Tavern. A quintessential seafood eatery which has a fully unobstructed view of the Pacific Ocean with 10 feet from waters edge.
We went early and had a lovely seat beside the water. Our server, Airica, guided us through the menu with some great suggestions for our dietary needs. We enjoyed the large prawn cocktails, and the mushroom pizza, which was out of this world delicious (with extra cheese.) We enjoyed a chocolate cake dessert to top off a great evening. We will definitely return.
