Aanrader: sharing dinner 'ee
Sitting outside, more quiet and more atmosphere than in the main streets, but still in the center, we had choosen of the afternoon menu card (2 pm to 6 pm) the Kipspiesje sate (Chicken Satai) and Nacho's Bonaparte and Ovengegrillde groente (grilled vegetables) with a Lindeboom (light) beer and Venloose Alt out of the good beer card. The chicken satai was delicious, the (big) Nacho's not so: To much cheese on the top, missing more onions inside to give more flavour and the vegetables were not really grilled, only short cooked not spiced (normal in the Netherland). At the neighbo table, talking to them, it was served the Moroccan Couscous, which looked, smelled and tasted very good.Very friendly and nice service people, to be recommended.

A recently opened rotisserie, worthwhile to visit, and even worthwhile to drive to if you are not directly from Venlo. The place is full of individual ideas with respect to decoration, from napkins hanging off the tables, to the distinction of toilets: one single 'bla' for men, a door full of 'bla's for the ladies. Funny. There is a wall filled with quotes relevant to the owner. some of those out of the ordinary, mostly in English and Dutch.Food-wise, it is as mentioned a rotisserie, meaning you find chicken, ribs and steak as major components on the menu, in a variety of preparations. A good choice of drinks, too. We had steak, style of the house ('Scharrel&Schuim'), and ribs provençal. Both were good, and plenty (you can always chose between 250 gram and 500 gram). The steak meat was okay, though not spectacular. Also the style 'Scharrel&Schuim' was considered worthwhile, though not exceptional. On the contrary, meat and seasoning of the ribs provençal proved clearly superb. As desert, the crème caramel can only be recommended. the cream is good, and the caramel is real, and crispy, and it comes as a large portion.Don't forget to try the bier 'Kornuit'.I have no clue, how far it is connected to the place of the same name in Rotterdam, though I found a somewhat different menu, online. The place is Venlo, the one this report is about, has opened just a few weeks ago. While I don't believe overly in Feng Shui, it struck me, how - don't know why - this place doesn't entice people to enter. I mean, not from the number of customers, but from a 'feeling' from the outside. But maybe it was only us. And we can't pinpoint why it doesn't evoke this sensation of 'openness' and attractiveness from the outside. Don't be mislead, get in, enjoy it. If they keep service and quality up, beyond the first weeks and months and even years, it should become a place frequented by lots of customers.
If youâre in venlo shopping try this great spot! They have several fries, cheese, drinks, Frikandels and like patties or sth itâs really great and even looks healthy which is a challenge if you only serve fastfood.parking is available across the road. Owner is really nice !enjoy!
