We had dinner at Black and White restaurant last night. The most beautiful setting on the beach lit by candlelight. Our waiter was fantastic and so friendly! We went to have a look at todayâs fish which was freshly caught that day and had it all explained by the head chef (who was also great and very friendly!). We went with the jumbo prawns and tiger prawns and oh my goodness!! They were cooked in a garlic butter sauce and were INCREDIBLE! And we had finger bowls which is the first restaurant that has provided us with these this trip (without asking)!Highly recommend Black and White restaurant to anyone visiting Unawatuna. Our most favourite meal whilst in Sri Lanka and that is saying something as the food has been fabulous. Service makes the experience even better. See you next time!Dear chaireytucksWe appreciate the time you took to share your thoughts about our restaurant. Everything we serve is prepared in house except for the ice cream and fizzy drinks. We use natural ingredients as much as possible.
I ate here and at the sister restaurant in Mirissa and while I don't usually eat burgers especially when then there is excellent curry, sometimes you need a change. I was absolutely delighted with the vegetarian burger and fries and would be very happy to eat this again and again. Great variety of burgers on the menu and good for those they don't want to stray from western tastes. The staff are very friendly and helpful and service is prompt. Highly recommended :)

I was looking for a venue to host a Stag Lunch for a close friend of mine who is getting married later this month. We were planning to get out of town so I was looking for a venue off the Southern express highway in the Galle area.I called up Scarllett Skyy Galle to organise this a few days prior to the day, and right from the start the manager Pushpakumara and Chef Sesha were so accommodating and put together a fabulous menu.We had a few guest from overseas so they wanted to try out the always talked about "seafood" Sri lanka has to offer - So I was thinking a "Seafood platter." When we arrived at the venue - our table was laid- the ambiance was set and the view was to die for. What came next was 10 well curated and presented Seafood platters which made everyone just stare at them for a good 5 minutes before digging in! All the produce was cooked to perfection and tasted extremely fresh and flavourful. All the staff were super friendly and attentive and the cocktails were a nice mix of exotic and tropical. Making it a match made in paradise for our meal.Everyone at the table was so impressed that they had nothing but praise when the Chef came out to our table to say hello and see how we were. After lunch, we were all served a complimentary berry sorbet to cleanse our palates. For most of us at the Lunch this was what Sri Lankan culinary and hospitality is at it's best! I highly recommend this place to anyone as a must-visit!Thank you Scarlett Skyy for making me look good for suggesting this venue, for doing such an awesome job and being just a pleasure to deal with.Must be amazing working there each day with that jaw-dropping view!Keep up the amazing work and I will definitely see you soon!Dear Notorious_SID,Thank you so much for your wonderful review on our venue, we had a great time hosting your Stag Lunch.Hope to see you back at Scarlett soon for more of our tropical & exotic cocktails and curated special seafood platters!! Warm regards,The Scarlett Skyy Team
