Turku (Finnish pronunciation: [ˈturku] ( listen); Swedish: Åbo [ˈoːbʊ] ( listen)) is a city on the southwest coast of Finland at the mouth of the Aura River, in the region of Southwest Finland. Turku, as a town, was settled during the 13th century and founded most likely at the end of the 13th century, making it the oldest city in Finland. This is a chain restaurant, so do not expect much. After work buffet is ok, as it is not so expensive. Also the pizzas are fine as they bake these on open fire. Suitable place to go with friends on Sunday when you have a hangover.

Brahen Kellari, the oldest cellar restaurant in the city, is situated in heart of the modern Turku. Friendly, relaxed athmosphere, an excellent blend of Finnish and International flavours as well as cheerful, homelike service welcome you always at the Bra
Over the years Brahen Kellari seems to have maintained its standards and thereby it's popularity among patrons. We visited the restaurant for dinner and was again presented with an excellent meal, a good bottle of wine and an efficient, discreet and friendly service. The reindeer starter was delicious, the fish main course cooked to perfection and what rounded off the meal so delightfully was a well made Irish coffee. Without a doubt this visit was a very pleasant occasion and providing the quality of the food and service remains high I will be back on many more occasions.
