Centrally located in a partially grade II listed building just off Market Place in this historic town, Lussmanns Hitchin is the locals' fish & grill restaurant. Proudly independent, we bring ethical and sustainable dining to the high street. Dining is rel
Annual visit to Hitchin and this has to be the restaurant of choice. Again, an excellent meal. My wife had a Vegetarian option and I opted for Plaice with Prawns and a Spinach side dish. Arguably a little expensive compared with many restaurants but, in truth, value for money.Thank you for your review and feedback. Great to hear that you enjoyed your meal with us and you found it value for money. I hope that you choose us again next year. Kind Regards, Laura ([email protected])

Stevenage town centre isn't exactly overflowing with attractive places to eat, or get a decent cup of coffee if you want to avoid the chains. It was said for years that Starbucks was avoiding the town because it didn't fit their demographic but perhaps they have lowered their sights a bit, because one opened not long ago in a prime location. That means if you want to pay through the nose for a vat of unpleasant brown liquid you can head their way - I'll be heading in the other direction, to the Bella Vista where the coffee is far cheaper, much better, and served with a smile by a quick and attentive team.I've never had more than a bacon roll there, to be fair, but it hits the spot every time and there seems to be a steady stream of punters tucking into fry-ups, jackets and everything else you could expect from a popular cafe.
