Find out what Grill restaurants to try in Peyia. Pegeia (also spelt Peyia; Greek: Πέγεια) is a town in the Paphos District of Cyprus. Pegeia is situated mainly on the steep slopes of the coastal hills inland from Coral Bay, at the southern end of the Akamas Peninsula, and it lies 14 km north of Paphos. It has a large population of British ex-pats and a growing number of holiday homes and apartments. In the town centre can be found a town hall, church, police station and several small shops, restaurants and banks. Due to its hillside location many parts of the town offer views over Coral Bay and Paphos.

Went here for a special occasion. Had calamari and octopus to start (portion of each) and then chose a freshly caught fish from the chiller. It was all delicious! Washed down with 2 bottles of rose and everything was wonderful until we got the bill. Our fresh whole fish was â¬54 on its own! Total bill was well over â¬100 for the two of us, and we weren't even offered a complimentary brandy. However, all that said, it was a wonderful meal, and we will return, but just be more careful what we order.

Weâre fans of authentic Cypriot/Greek cuisine so visited hoping we would get this here. Tatziki was good but not the best Iâve ever had and only a small portion compared to previous times. Kleftiko - lamb fell apart as it should and aside from the usual task of having to separate the fat from the lamb it was very good. Full of taste but lacked some of the aesthetic pleasing by not being served in the traditional clay pot.Portion sizes huge and very friendly service. Didnât matter at all re: the roadside location as the restaurant and garden are tucked away quite a bit. They also jazzed up some chocolate cake for my friendâs birthday and presented it with a sparkler etc. Very nice touch. Not sure what the âbugsâ comment was either - the restaurant is lit by garden lamps which attract insects. Just donât sit by them?!

Went past this restaurant earlier today 1/10/2019 and thought we might give it a try in the evening. Wow we are so glad we did as this little family restaurant served up the probably the best meals we have had during our vacation so far. They brought out olives, garlic bread and some Greek dip made of lentils. No idea what it was called but it was superb. We ordered moussaka and kleftiko meals which were superb and to top it all off they even brought out a lemon cake on the house for afterwards. The chef popped out for a chat afterwards and she is such a lovely lady you just have to give this place a try. You will not be disappointed

Tsiakkas Taverna is in one of the most magnificent locations on the island. The Taverna is a family run business, running for over 35 years. Our quality is down to our experience, which gives you the chance to try homemade fresh food. The original taste o
Walked down as was local to our hotel. Nice welcome that was where it stopped. Main meal okay, bread delivered as after thought after mains delivered, one waiter we believe Russian certainly not interested in clients other than his nationality. Not the first time we have encountered this in Cyprus and itâs a sad reflection on the Cypriot hospitality. Not offered deserts after waiting for sometime asked for bill, no thank you drinks as offered to other tables. To many places to eat around Paphos so give this a miss.

Chalkie's Bar is a British owned and operated bar in the heart of Coral Bay , serving reasonably priced drinks and meals. Our Breakfast is the envy of all our competitors and a major hit with our regular customers and tourists alike. Served from 9.00am un
Horrible food- Not family friendlyWhen you walk in to a place and the waitress is sitting there drinking frappe and smoking a vape! then she gets up to serve you.I went with my family including two children. We were not impressed on arrival but the kids were really hungry so we just decided to give it a go.We sat inside because the tables outside were all full of smokers, so we were forced to sit inside, as didnât want the kids inhaling the smoke, so itâs not really family friendly! We got breakfast, but I have to admit the portions are very small, and itâs not even cooked properly! The eggs definitely needed another minute or two, still slimy, the bacon had white bits on it where the grill hadnât been cleaned out properly, the beans were cold, and half a tomato!Looking around the place, it was disorganised, no napkins on the table, the windows are that dirty you canât even see out of them! Not a pleasant experience wonât be going again.Sometimes we reed our reviews and take them on face value, other times we look a little deeper and find out that some people are just malicious.Firstly, staff do not smoke or vape at the front of the bar, they all have to go to the back door area in the car park.Every bar, restaurant in Europe allows smoking outside, we are no exception so by your standards then every establishment is not "Family Friendly". We don't make the laws, we just apply them. You suggest that our portions are small when every other review states how big our portions are!! Our standard breakfast consists of 1 egg, 1 rasher of bacon, 1 sausage, Baked beans, grilled tomato, 1 slice of fried bread and one thick cut slice of toast. Our large breakfast consists of two eggs, two bacon, 2 sausages, beans, mushrooms, fried bread and thick cut toast. Hardly small portions are they? You mention no napkins on the table, if you had actually been here and eaten you would have known that they are brought to the table with the cutlery!!And to your final point, we have a window cleaner who comes every Saturday and cleans all the folding glass doors as we do not have any windows!! The doors are all opened and folded back on themselves at 9 am when we open and they remain that way until 2am when we close them at the end of the night. So if you had been in the bar you would have known that there are no windows. Finally It is my opinion that you have not eaten at Chalkie's you are simply putting a review on to effect our business which is a very sad thing to do.In summary, customers smoking outside is not an issue within our control as legally they are entitled too. Our portions are not small as proven above, all our reviews state how good our food is but you have decided that it's not cooked properly. You mention no napkins when clearly they are brought to you with your cutlery and then you state that our windows are dirty when we don't have any!! Really!!!!

Great local food, the lamb was lovely and so tender. Food is reasonably priced as well, cheaper than eating down on the Coral Bay strip.Unbelievable service from the waiter, who looked after the whole restaurant by himself, he never stopped running all night! The service was fantastic.Thank you very much for your lovely words .

âPeyia Tavernâ is a family restaurant and is highly recommended, here you will have the opportunity to sample the âTraditional Special Meat Mezeâ, great dish for the meat lovers. The meat is cooked in the traditional Cypriot way. The Special Meze is serve
When the chef is the mother of the waiter and has been cooking here since 1983 you know you are in for a treat. Excellent value, traditional mezze with a couple of modern twists made our last evening one to remember. The starters consisted of a salad, bulger wheat cooked slowly in a tomato based sauce, grilled halloumi, tahini taramasalata and fresh Greek bread. The mains of lamb kofta, stifado, chicken and a beautifully barbecued lamb chop and pork chop made the evening. To finish a handful of local grapes. The village wine at â¬9 was a steal and a meal for two at under â¬44 belied its gastronomic value. Book in advance or turn up at 6!
