It was so good that i had to review - part of me wished that i should maybe keep this as a secret to prevent it from being so touristy.I chanced upon this restaurant when i the reception at One Niseko suggested this dining place. Yakitori is always a favourite isnt it. At this restaurant, they offer free pick up service - HUGE BONUS (if you do not drive).Simple food but divine taste - This chef is absolutely brilliant. Their recommended kimchi pork was indeed a must try.
Embrace an âAuthentic Japanese experienceâ like no other in Niseko! Experience a variety of unagi dishes in the summer, while full robata kaiseki course meals in the winter.
Came for dinner one evening and tried the chef's menu, as a courtesy to patrons we were asked if there was anything we can't or prefer not to eat. We found the chef very friendly and engaging as with the rest of the staff that we came across. Foodwise, no complaints whatsover, only compliments are deserving as far as our experience is concerned. Robata Niseko is certainly on the return list for the next visit. Some photos of the dishes included in this review, but of course photos can never do the food justice. A thoroughly enjoyable dining experience.

After a long dayâs hike, coming to black wood grill is a reward for the soul. Chef-sommelier-GM-and auteur, Atsushi Maruyama, is a rare find and an artist in his own right over the little kingdom that is black wood grill. The food served is beautifully presented, and feeds the soul as well as the body. We had the wagyu four -course plus the wine/sake pairing, and every step was perfectly on point .Chefâs passion for food, and local produce shines through his deft preparation. Black wood grill is not to be missed and we shall remember the warm welcome and culinary experience here for many years to come comeEu san and Michelle san Thank you for warm and beautiful message. I was so moved. That was great meeting you guys at the night. We are all happy having you guys back here as your second home anytime. See you until next time. Atsushi and Hotel Team

Two of us had a meal here on recommendations. Very courteous staff. Had the two course option for ¥5,000 each. Had extra massive crab claw to share, definitely worth the extra. Did not have to wait long for food and my clam chowder was superb, ice and creamy=rich. Had a steak to follow, really tender. English bar tender, Chris, was very amusing and charming, as were all the staff. Definitely best meal we had in Hirafu.

With beautiful views of Mt. Yotei, Melt, Bar and Grill offers guests a superb selection of local and imported cuts of prime beef, seafood and more in a chic, effortless dining environment.
My family and I stayed at the hotel where Melt is located. Naturally, we had lunch and dinner there. The food was good and plenty. Waiters were attentive to customers. Lunch is definitely best value but dinner was a bit expensive. It is a family friend place.
