Spent the day here with local friends from Mahahual (if itâs a favorite of locals/ex pats it must be good :-).Itâs off the beaten path and a great cruise ship Costa Maya port day. The place is beautiful, the drinks AMAZING, the food is delicious ! I met Nattie and we all laughed a lot!Iâll be back again!

My wife and I spent a great beach day off our cruise ship at Pitaya . Pearla and her staff are very warm and friendly and the service is beyond improvement . The variety and quality of their food is wonderful and impressively traditional Mexican . The real deal and it was perfect . The beach is enjoyable and once you` er in the water perfect . There is some sea grass but no big deal at all . The sea floor is lumpy and bumpy and the water is crystal clear . All in all , a great day .

I recently was able to attend the Grand Opening of the new ¡Que Pollo! al Carbon in Mahahual and I was very impressed. First, the restaurant is very clean and professional looking, which is different from a lot of the food shops in the area. The ¡Que Pollo! logo was also very cute...but it was the food that really blew me away! The chicken is grilled over real charcoal and was moist, tender, and perfectly seasoned. It came with rice and beans, tortillas to make tacos if you want to, seasoned chips (which is rare to see here, usually they are plain and tasteless) and salsa, plus some amazing fried potatoes with carrots. It was really a huge amount of food for your money. Itâs tucked away right next to the local hardware store, you just have to turn right as you come to the main road from the port instead of turning left towards the beach. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for some awesome food at a great price. I canât wait to go back!
