Reviews on Grill food in Knysna, Western Cape, South Africa. Knysna stands out on South Africa's famed Garden Route thanks to the sandstone cliffs that dramatically separate its tranquil lagoon from the pounding surf of the Indian Ocean. It's also home to the country's largest indigenous forest. Hop aboard a ferry for a ride through the scenic highlights. The Millwood Mines at Jubilee Creek, site of a major gold rush in 1885, provide a picturesque spot for a picnic. Be sure to try some local oysters during the renowned annual festival.

Very nice friendly service. Excellent juicy prawns. The sauce in the mussel pot was very rich but it was tasty. The problem was with the accompanying bread. On the menu it said accompanied with French bread. Well it was but the bread was a sweet brioche bread. In fact it was vary sweet and for me completely inappropriate to serve with a savoury fish dish. Shame because that spoiled my meal.Thank you for your review. Our rolls are so popular with all our regulars we sincerely regret that you did not enjoy them.

Quite a find - a dining establishment that ticks all the boxes. Stunning location beside a tranquil lagoon close to the ocean and yet within the Wilderness National Park. First class service from friendly, efficient but not overpowering staff. The coup de grace was the food - delicious, subtle flavours, beautifully presented, quality ingredients and prepared by an expert and talented Chef. What the menu lacked in quantity it made up for in quality. A truly memorable dining experience at an affordable price. We will certainly be returning.Hi there, Thank you so much for the lovely review. We appreciate it. We visited the Burger Exchange for lunch. We waited 30 minutes to order after we asked numerous times for assistance. We had 4 different waiters before we could finally order. The drinks took another 30+ minutes. When it arrived ons person still didnât receive hers and the rest of the beers were already hot..we asked if we can cancel out food. The waiter flipped and told us she cant tell us if we can or not and stormed off.... we ordered food with our drinks.... hour later still no food. This place will never see me again!!Hi Carike, thank you so much for your feedback and for joining us during the busy Oyster Festival. I am very sorry for the negative experience and the poor service that you received. We have addressed the issue with all our staff to work hard on a much more friendly approach to service. Unfortunately, on that day we were completely overwhelmed by the rush of people that the event had brought to the Island and hopelessly understaffed. It would have been much better to take physical tables out to reduce our seating capacity. It was an intense learning exercise to handle the pressure and to see that our service quality dropped so much. We will definitely prepare better for our 2nd Oyster Festival next year.We strive to learn from our mistakes and would love to hear where we could improve? Please leave us a comment, send me an email at [email protected] or join us again. We would be delighted to hear your suggestions! The Exchange team
