Went for dinner last night and the food was fantastic. We started with some warm bread to share then I had the ribeye (with chips and none marrow jus) and my wife had the filet mignon (with garlic butter and rosemary and garlic potatoes). Wine was an Argentinian Malbec. Both steaks were cooked to perfection and were so tender. They melted in the mouth and for me the jus added so much to the flavour. The restaurant was quiet with only one other couple but it was a Sunday night. Service was excellent and for the quality of food I thought the bill (circa £100 with tip) was reasonable

My wife and I booked for a pre-theatre meal. Were given a warm welcome and shown to our table. The pre-theatre menu is fairly extensive for that type of menu with plenty of choice. I had the scallops which were excellent. My wife had rillettes of smoked duck and chicken. For mains she had seafood chowder and I had the venison stew. This was quality food at a reasonable price. Unfortunately we live about 200 miles away so may be a little time before we get back and try the a la carte menu.

We decided to eat at the hotel after a long day of touring. We did not have reservations but were quickly seated. The restaurant is large but with sectioned off areas that made it feel intimate. Lighting was subtle and relaxing. Our dinner was delicious and the service was attentive. Chic city centre bar and kitchen A much loved veteran of the Bath Street party circuit, Saint Judes had a major refurbishment in the summer of 2015. Now featuring a bright, colourful bar and dining room, it is a lively spot for lunch or afternoon grazing
2 Excellent burgers and chips with sides, and potato scone nachos were lovely. One of the best burgers in town however pretty pricey and service was slow even though we were sitting beside the bar. 3 1/2 out of 5

We visited for lunch, and though there was a limited lunch menu, we chose from the main menu. Himself had his customary fish and chips, which I felt were pricey at £13.95, My penne with chicken and broccoli was tasty, but again overpriced at £10.95, and £2.75 for a can of Coke is rather expensive!Sticky toffee pudding was lovely, and staff were delightful.
