Booked here for Sunday lunch having read reviews online. We werenât disappointed. The welcome from all the staff was great and they really looked after us. The restaurant is housed in a single story clubhouse at the Burstwick Country Golf Club. Having passed the golf shop and cosy bar area, we were shown to a table overlooking the golf course and given the menu. Great value at £8.50, £12 and £15 for one, two or three courses. Having ordered drinks, we chose our food. I had soup (tomato and basil) which came with a roll; my husband selected Yorkshire puddings with gravy - the gravy here is delicious and worthy of a mention. For main, I had the roast beef dinner, which came with new and roast potatoes, roast parsnips, carrots, green beans and broccoli plus a Yorkshire pudding and the gorgeous gravy. The meat was tender and beautifully cooked. My husband had chosen the steak pie with chips and the same veg. He reported that the pie had both top and bottom, was very tasty and enjoyed everything on his plate. He followed with treacle sponge and custard which although not homemade, was lovely. I finished with a coffee and mints. £30 for our meals and drinks - a bargain and recommended. Wow, thank you so much for this glowing review! Weâd booked a table for 9 plus a baby, but ended up rearranging the seating for a high chair, as that seemed to have been forgotten. There was 4 other large parities in that evening all booked for the same time, and so as each individual was going up to the bar to order cocktails and their food, making the order was incredibly slow, as only three staff were behind the bar. You order and pay for meals up front, a little like weatherspoons! We ordered a mixture of meals (there are no starters to choose from) that included the mixed grill (great value for the price) the steaks, the bean burger, chicken Kiev and fajitas. Overall, the food was excellent but there was a bone left in the Kiev, which was offputting. The main problem was the noise in the dining area. While it would have been nice to chat while we had our meal, the music was too loud and everyone had to shout to be heard. I wouldnât recommend the Lodge for meals as itâs run more as a cocktail bar. Also the choices for vegan diners is almost nil!

We arrived after 8 after a long drive in the rain. Greeted by a lovely friendly team member "Odette". Service was perfect, seated and drinks arrived and the food ordered. Food arrived in a timely manner considering the restaurant was busy. Food was delicious. We had 4 different dishes and they were all delicious. Puddings were lovely. Bottomless soft drinks.Service was excellent, Odette was very friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu. We will be back.

we had dinner here on our way home ,we initially wanted chicken kiev but as the food would be cooked to order we settled on a burger blue cheese for my wife and just mayonnaise for me.The burgers were very good cooked just right and the fries were perfect. Again the deserts were delicious my wife highly recommends their twist on millionaires shortbread. the staff were attentive and friendly. Altogether a great place to eat.

We "used" to be quite regular here, at least 3-5 times a year if that counts, usually in the mid Saturday afternoon when its nice and quiet...unfortunately that's now changed.Booked a table for 3 a week before, arrived less than 5 minutes ( literally ) late to find the owner had given the table away, the people sitting in it were more that half way down their drink, they had clearly been sat there a while....Owner looked in the book ( even though he recognised us ) saw the name and date and could give no explanation as to why the table was given away, we had to find somewhere else to eat before going to the Theatre.This is absolutely not acceptable, he had our name and contact number all he had to do was call however it seemed like all he wanted was bums on seats, which is all well and good but booked tables usually mean special occasions and this one was ruined completely, we were regulars however no longer and if i'm honest that saddens me...I simply cannot recommend a place that behaves in the manner to paying customers..

We have been coming to Level since it changed years ago always love the food i always noted the clean glasses..went on sunday and ordered chicken breast which we have most of the time must have had it 20 plus times ..it was very disappointing the appearance wasnt great and most of all the red cabbage and bacon was not there ..we both ate it but did mention to the waitress how bland it was and noticeable that the red cabbage was missing . I know it is only something small but it has made a big difference ..such a shame wont be ordering again. Hello there, firstly i would like to say thank you for your custom for so long its always our pleasure, we are terribly sorry that you feel disappointed with our new and improved chicken breast dish, we did used to serve it with red cabbage but our customer feedback from a lot of customers said it did not match with the dish very well so when we launched our new menu we decided to use seasonal vegetables instead of red cabbage and have received so many compliments.however please do visit again and im sure our team can help you choose a dish more suited to your palate, we look forward to seeing you again.

Aimlessly driving looking for somewhere for lunch we happened upon The Camerton. Really glad we did. A lovely meal and they went above and beyond to sort us out with a Gluten Free Option for the Mrs. I had the Barbeque pork. Very Very Tasty.
