We went for the ambiance of the restaurant. They serve Pakistani food. We went for lunch and shown to a comfortable table. We ordered a prawn curry which was great. The other dish was Kashmiri Lamb curry which was not what we expected. It tasted more like Nihari. The nans served hot from tandoor were awesome. We did not try any dessert.Would go there again.

I recently tried their spicy chicken chipotle and it's a great burger except the jalepenos are a bit too many and they steal from all the positives. Otherwise the bun, the chicken breasts with a little less chipotle and half the jalepenos would make me go 'oh my grill!'. The smaller beef burgers are fine too. The BBQ sauce over powers them so cant really judge the burger to be outstanding.

#IstanbulGrills #BahriaTown #Karachi #TurkishFood After some social media colleagues tipped Istanbul Grills as being an authentic Turkish food outlet, we headed to the restaurant located inside BahriaTown Karachi to put that boast to test.Call it our foolhardy for overlooking the reviewers' alert of reaching Istanbul Grills by way of Malir-Cantt instead of under-construction Khi-Hyd Highway going thru Sohrab Goth. Consequently we suffered the plight of traveling on what appeared to be an unpaved strip from the medieval time where upon dinosaurs-like trucks & trailers were plying. Rudderless monsters! The cool December breeze, newly paved roads, and brightly lit BahriaTown somewhat provided solace to our road suffering and soothed the jittery nerves. As we entered the Carnival area (Rs100 per person entry fee), we were delighted to see the red Iatanbul Grills neon lights on the left. Without much further ado we ordered mutton ribs, Peshawari mutton Karahi, Seekh Kebab with rice, and mixed Nans. Surprisingly enough we were the second couple there although it was 7pm on Saturday eve, supposedly peak times. Indeed there were more staff than the customers in the restaurant. To our further disappointment, a waiter came back after 10-15 minutes regretting that Mutton Ribs aren't available as the fresh meat van is on the way expected to arrive within 10-15 minutes. It may take another hour & half to prepare the Mutton Ribs. Reluctantly we switched to mutton chops. Finally the food arrived. Upon taking the first bite of Kababs the favorite Karachiites' expletives "Hila Ke Rakh Diya" came to mind. Yes, our mistake that we didn't tell the waiter to go slow on chili stock, hence we faced the high voltage and amidst aahs & oohs dug into the food. Tears swelled up in eyes so much that if a passerby saw us eating he/she would have thought we had just lost a dear friend. If one can tolerate the spices one can find kababs real yummy, nice textured, juicy and soft. Peshawari Mutton Karahi was just so-so whereas mutton chops were disappointing; dry-meat, burnt on the sides, and had the leathery feeling to it. No disrespect to early reviewers but I found Istanbul Grills' food just ordinary. Price tag is mid to high! However, over all experience of visiting Bahria Town coupled with dinner was a good one. Guess families with little kids will enjoy more as the Carnival has many attractions for kids including cartoon characters and huge playing area. My recommendation would be to arrive there around 4-5 pm to enjoy the facility fully!

We four friends went there for lunch duly recommended by a friend. All of us ordered steaks, one chicken and three beef. The quality of meat was not so good, however, the condiments served with it were tasty and well cooked. The deal was Buy one get one, however, the basic price of the order was free which did not made much difference.Would think twice before going there.
