All day dining smokehouse & bar just off the Ipswich Waterfront. Coffee, cocktails, craft beers & hand-picked wines. Food cooked as nature intended, over smoke and fire for the very best flavour....Simple. Open 7 days a week.
Me and a friend come here for breakfast every time weâre in town at the same time.We just finished a big session at the gym so weâre ready for one of their legendary breakfasts. We both had the Smithy - see pic - a large smoked local Procterâs sausage, bacon, fried egg, hash brown and black pudding. Why do so many places not offer black pudding? A slice of toasted sourdough for mopping up the egg yolks. You can have additions - an extra egg always helps.Lovely local Paddy and Scottâs coffee and a glorious greens smoothie.Loads of breakfast choice. A proper full English, go healthy, vegan or blow out as we did.Perfect combination of quality, taste, size and value for money.Service is great - helpful and friendly without being intrusive. Lovely waitress looked after as and we chatted to Grant the owner who knows more than a thing or two about what makes a good restaurant. Thanks everyone for another memorable experience and weâll be back soonWow, thank you so much for your five stars and for taking the time to review us here. We're thrilled to hear that you enjoy your Breakfasts with us so much and your kind words regarding our service are so very appreciated and such a motivator to our whole team.Thank you again - we will continue to do our very best to keep providing great post-gym fuelling, and very much look forward to welcoming you again soon!

This pub is located in an excellent location, next to the campsite and near the station. The atmosphere was very friendly and there was a fun entertainment on Friday night where a musician was playing on the piano and everyone was dancing! The foods were amazing! We had roast dinner on Sunday and it was delicious! The family dog was so adorable. The garden is very pretty and there are lots of seats to choose from! The owners and staff are so lovely and I definitely will come back to The Kings Head again in the summer.

Fabulous. Just had the best Restaurant Sunday Roast ever. Cooked to perfection and it was proper gravy! Meat was succulent and the crackling on the pork belly was scrumptious. The general ambience was very relaxed, the staff friendly and attentive. We will definitely be going back for more..........
