We were in Emmen because we were going to the MotoGP at Assen 25 minutes away. We found Chef Burger thanks to Tripadvisor and we weren't disappointed. Good value. A warm welcome and we shall return.

Homey and cosey restaurant / grill, situated directly on the water of the river "De Vecht", with beautifull terrace on the riverbanks. The menu serves lots of steaks, burgers & ribs of good quality for decent prices. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly

The food was oke, but the service is terrible... The ober was chaotic, most of them actually... You have to wait to ask something, almost feeling like leave your chair to get your service. They have to re-manage the employees. Not really professional service guys...

My wife and niece recently visited this restaurant for an evening dinner.We found our host Gerrard Kampkuiper and his family all to be extremely accommodating and very friendly.The meals were all of a very high standard with the peppercorn steak one of the best I have found anywhere!The highlight of the menu were the Kampkuiper 'Balls' dessert with melting chocolate and ice cream!Everything in this restaurant is done very professionally and hygiene is tops.One of the very best!John Brbich N.Z.Dear Staysurfside,Thanks for the outstanding review.
