the other night my stepson and wife took us to The Steakhouse as a Christmas gift and it was outstanding. The deep fried green beans, which sounded odd, were terrific. The accompanying sauce was a good compliment to the appetizer. The steak was simply fantastic and perfectly grilled to order.

I've gotten the Tuna Takaki appetizer the last 6 times I've visited and each time it was a different presentation with different levels of ingredients. Sometimes it had a soy/tamari sauce, sometimes it's dry. Sometimes it's seared raw and sometimes it's fairly medium. And the last time was the worst; basically a medium cooked slab of tuna sprinkled with crushed wonton strips with a tablespoon of watered soy sauce. Salt was desperately needed. There's one or two on-the-ball waiters but most are spaced out and inattentive. When it's slow they still have a herd of them by the kitchen yakking, then someone shoos them away to the back somewhere and you can't find them for awhile. Bar service is still slow at the table. Waiting 15 minutes for a cocktail while the waiter keeps asking if you are ready to order dinner is nuts. They desperately need a front of house manager that's looking at the tables and how they are being served all the time. There are so many guys in the kitchen they get in each others way. Honestly, I can't imagine how they pay all of the staff they have and turn a profit. And I wish they would turn down the music. I don't like yelling at my server. I don't mind hip but dining should also be relaxing. Sorry for the rant but I'm tired of the inconsistency after 7 months of dining here.

We have been to the Golden Corral 3 times now. They are always busy but super efficient with getting you seated and the food replenished. I really don’t care for buffets in general because too many hands touching the utensils grossed me out. There are always managers walking around and all 3 times we had at least one come to our table to make sure we enjoyed the meal. The food if ok, the best thing is the fried chicken. The vegetables and beans could be seasoned more, I know all types of people eat there and it is hard to satisfy everyone but the vegetables just don’t taste like other Golden Corrals I have eaten in that use seasoning and doesn’t taste like it just came from a can. The main issue I have is the salad bar. I enjoy eating salad and that is what I usually eat a lot of at a buffet. The bar is situated so that only the 1st row of ingredients can be reached and everything else is beyond a normal person’s reach. When I spoke to a manager about it, after seeing a woman with long hair stick her entire head under the glass to get the back salad ingredients I was told that there was a salad attendant who was there to help with the back items. Having been there 3 times I can tell you there was no attendant, granted I saw a woman come in and out replenishing the ingredients but she never was there long enough to help get the items in the back. Considering people put their entire head & hair over the food items in the front is just unsanitary and someone either needs to be there constantly to help or they need to pull the bar away from the wall to allow an entrance to the back. After seeing hair in the salad fixings I never ate another salad there. All the staff is friendly but until the fix the salad bar issue and kids bring allowed to get food items by themselves I won’t be going back.
