Reviews on Grill food in Coyhaique, Aisen Region, Chile. Coyhaique (Spanish pronunciation: [koˈʝai̯.ke]), also spelled Coihaique in Patagonia, is the capital city of both the Coyhaique Province and the Aysén Region of Chile. Founded by settlers in 1929, it is a young city. Until the twentieth century, Chile showed little interest in exploiting the remote Aisén region. The Carretera Austral road opened in the 1980s.

I spent 5 nights in Hotel Dreams and ended up eating all of my meals here. The food and service were very good, and the english speaking manager was very helpful to this non spanish speaking gringo. The lunch sandwiches were very good. Large portions! The best dinner I had here was the salmon fillet with veggies. And it was medium rare just like I asked for, and not over cooked like most places in the US.

The food was really good, everything was fresh and very well cooked. My wife ordered entraña and I ordered lamb with potatoes. We also ordered a bottle of red wine and dessert. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, the service was fast and very good.
We stopped here as part of a shore excursion while on a cruise in the area. We were offered a snack consisting of several small portions of local fare, including pisco sours -- the best part! The place was clean and neat, the management was well prepared to deal with several large tour groups and we enjoyed our brief stop. The scenery in this area was beautiful as well -- wish we had more time to eat a full meal here, but based on our experience we would recommend it.

This restaurant is an ambitious attempt: fine healthy dining, slightly out of walking distance of the city, the owners envision it as a low-key family clubhouse that will offer free activities and periodical low priced meals for the local community.
