Had to drive to Austria several times for business reasons, it's finally a pleasure to stop and have a good meal in a REAL Italian restaurant in Villach. Real because, differently form the other places in the town where the only Italian things you can find are the (often misspelled) names on the menu, this place is run by Italian guys and, most important, the cook is Italian and all the fish comes from the Italian shores. They also serve good meat actually and pizzas, but I personally find most tasty their seafood dishes. Summarizing in three points: good quality of materials, reasonable price, careful service. I'll stop there again.

Beautiful local Austrian family restaurant. With traditional food and hospitality. We enjoyed a meal with family. Clear soup, tuna salad, and the mixed grill. All of it was really fresh, and beautifully cooked and presented. We will definitely enjoy it again!

The "Oxerei" is one of Villach's most beautiful and popular restaurants. Enjoy amazing steaks, great burgers and a variety of original pasta and fish dishes.
What a beautiful little place hidden in a courtyard! Excellent pizza, friendly atmosphere. There is something very warm and attractive about this place, it was catering to families with children and to people without kids, so there must be something they do super right! Pizza is really good, worth the wait for a table, which wasn't too long anyway.

We drove bay this place and decided to stop for a quick early dinner before our trip back home. It was an great decision... service was very good and quick, the food was excellent and the prices are also very fair.Tomato soup was very good, as was Frittatensuppe - local beef soup with pancakes. I had Wild salmon which was probably the best salmon I ever had in a restaurant. Slices of Chickenfilet from Charinthia was also excellent. Love the way they bring you your receipt... :)Highly recommended!

We are pleased also to present selected beef cuts in our restaurant Adriana alongside traditional specialties such as boiled beef or beef tartare. The steak sizes as Rib Eye Double, Tomahawk & Porter House, of course, in Dry aged beef quality, served on a
I would definitely not rate this restaurant no. 2 in the area how currently is ranked. It definitely doesnât deserve such a good valuation. Me and my girlfriend rely quite often on tripadvisor and this time we were very disappointed with both service and food. The interior design is quite welcoming and sort of let you remain with the promise of equally interesting food. Nothing more misleading! The look of the food gives you the impression of good quality and taste but definitely underperforming. We ordered Wiener schnitzel which arrived without a lemon, the tartare of salmone tasted like one from a can, not seasoned at all, the tomato soup tasted tinned tomatoes with too much cream (squirty) on the top. The staff is constantly in rush, not very chatty and apparently having some difficulties to speak Italian or German. We noticed that there were some guests drinking and not eating so maybe this place is made for drinking rather than eating. In fairness, we didnât try steaks which looked quite good but the rest of the food was very disappointing.

With the âEinkehrâ, the Trattlerhof has recreated all the chalet romance you would find in an alpine holiday village. The special feature: both at lunchtime and in the evening, the chalet restaurant has become a sort of âculinary outpostâ of the Trattlerh
First we noticed the Einkehr from the outside. The lovely heart ornaments, the open fire, the sheep skins. We decided to have dinner there and reserved a table. We were seated on the first floor and the atmosphere of that floor and the people was exquisitely cosy and warm.It gets all the highest marks. The food was very good, our dessert was a surprise, a pear with mousse , very yummy and new to us both.My grilled meat was average, as was the fish. The french fries and grilled vegetables were excellent too.Thank you for your positive review! We are very pleased that you that we could inspire you with our culinary offer. Your honest feedback is our motivation to allow new culinary experiences for our guests. We would be happy to welcome you again soon in the Trattlers Einkehr and wish you all the best. Came upon this jewel on the roadside.. and so happy that we did!The regional ravioli were heavenly as we're the calamari, served with a delicious warm baguette. For dessert, the apple strudel was just excellent while the warm crepe with ice cream also a winner. The portions were nicely sized, the service lovely and the bill very honest for the amount, quality and goodness of the food. We spent â¬30/person (we drank quite a few beers as well) and couldn't be happier! Highly highly recommended. Bravi!! Dear Alina! We are really flattered about your great valutation, we try to constantly to improve our house and food and make it just a little bit better for our guests. Thank you for the great valuation and we hope to see you again in our restaurant! All the best - Elena Wallner
