The new location of Cambalache in La Isla Cancun is great! Excellent setting, nicely done. Food, specially steaks and carpaccios are excellent quality. Pair your steaks with quality wines from Argentina, great choices await you. Hileras del Sol Gran Reserva Malbec is fantastic.

We ate here twice and the fish (salmon & carpaccio) are very highly recommended. 2nd time I had steak tacos and they were disappointing as meat was chewy and grissly. Still 5 star as this place has stunning views and superb service. Excellent drinks as well!

Third visit to Cancun, third vist to Bovino's. This restaurant is in my Top 5 Best World Restaurant List. Everything is impeccable, immaculate and most importantly delicious. You can tell that the meat servers truly are proud of their product and their service. We never wanted for anything, clean plates kept appearing, management and staff checked on us continuously. But it is the food that is center stage here. Baby Beef, various sausages, Pork Loin, Prime Rib, Beef Tenderloin, Beef Welligton, unbelievably tender, juicy and never overcooked. The salad/seafood bar is incredible. A multitude of seafood salads, seafood dishes, various sushi, marinated veggies, fruit, jamon/cheese is enough to take your taste buds to new levels is giddiness. But my foodie people, being a retired pastry chef, it is the dessert that ended my meal like the Fourth of July fireworks. I'm just going to simply call it the Chocolate Bomb(see picture). A beautiful sphere of dark chocolate filled with creamy vanilla ice cream and mini-meringue cookies sitting on a meringue cookie base. The presenter poured hot Dunce de Leche onto the bomb, thus my sugar world exploded. The coffee and espresso were a great accompaniment to dessert too. High praise for Bovino's and the staff who make this restaurant a joy and a great food experience. Now, how do I get the suckling pig...need to know for next visit...it was a sight to behold. Have been fortunate enough to eat fine meals in cities like, ew York, Rome, Florence, Las Vegas, Dallas, Mexico City and the like. Not only was the food amazing to see and eat, the staff was excellent as well. If you are fortunate enough to be seated in Geradoâs or Pabloâs section, you are in for a treat. Their service is the best I have ever received from any fine dining restaurant in my life and complimented the quality of the meal perfectly. They were always ready when we needed service, but never in our fave. They never made us feel rushed or hurried during the entire course of the meal which lasted more than two hours. We like to take our time and enjoy each course that we eat. My wife and I started with two excellent Margaritas. We then split two of the wood fired octopus meals. Octopus can be difficult to prepare correctly, but this restaurant did it perfectly. We followed the octopus course with the Spanish ham which was carved table side and presented in an artisan style. I have sampled different prosciuttoâs and hams from a variety of different places; this one is absolutely the best I have ever eaten. Finally, The staff that made my family and I feel very welcome at the table. We were never rushed despite having an excellent view of the marina and the interest rather casually. They treated us like royalty and did not charge us by our physical appearance or clothing. We I have eaten at many other nice restaurants in this area. However, this one is the best for the quality of the food and the service. As a bonus, this meal was not as expensive as some of the other lesser quality meals we have to eaten while on our travels. If you have read my other reviews and you know I only comment on locations that are exceptionally good or exceptionally terrible with their service. I am happy to report that this is one of the most exceptional restaurants I have ever had the pleasure to dine in. Please come enjoy this excellent meal. I was not compensated for my opinions. My wife and I we enter to this restaurant without knowing what to expect, but honestly this is one of the best restaurants we ever tried. This restaurant take us back to france with their delicious dishes. Also, outstanding service of our waiter Ernesto!!
