The service here was quite friendly and it didn't take too long. However, the food was quite average, and, though not at all bad, not very special either.

The hot wings were excellent, both the spicy and the non spicy variant. My friends all loved them, although I prefer it a bit drier, but that's just my personal preference.

Based on reviews here in TripAdvisor I went there for some seafood. We got a nice table by the window, the restaurants cat was resting in the window, very friendly and relaxed. I asked for âProeverij Het Zuiden â Several Fishfilletâ and my friend went for âDry Age Rib-Eyeâ. Both where very good, the service was excellent and atmosphere great on a Friday evening. Prices are reasonable.

Where to eat Dutch food in Bunnik: The Best Restaurants and Bars

You know instantaneously when youâre in smallville and a restaurant is failing to mimic a stylish city-like approach to their experience. We walked in around lunch time and aside from one occupied table with 4 guests there was another table with the restauranteurâs admin spread out and a man with a baby pram clearly friends of the owner. No music playing and with the place 90% empty it results in a deafening silent environment. The menu looked interesting however, starters were mediocre at best. I had the chefâs antipasti plate and aside from the salami cuts it was all quite bland at best. Main courses took a good 25 minutes (whilst we were the only guests!) to come out and my tuna steak was undercooked and cold inside. My wifeâs tuna salad was a light mix of plain salad with a bit of tuna, not special. The kidsâ burger, croquettes and sate seemed to be the better choices. The simpler things to prepare. A side salad was clearly prepped long before as the fresh tomatoes had started to dry out. The service wasnât particularly focused on the customer and with a genuine lack of attention. This is your average Dutch restaurant and it really isnât worth a couple of hundred euros.
