The family were Butchers so they have long tradition of making sure they provide good meat. The dishes are very good value for money. The focus is on good meat either grilled, baked, stewed depending on the season. Typical dishes of the regional are available as well as home brewed Schnapps. Superb View over the Rhine valley, vineyards up to the Voges Mountains on clear day.

We went here with friends, and were mostly very pleased with it, the food was good, with a fairly large buffet for salads and starters ( which pleased the vegetarian in our group). The servers were friendly, but they need to work on their organization a bit. Our table was passed by multiple times ( and generally when just the cut of meat that I really like was on the skewer). Convenient location for a restaurant since it's located near the entry (from the perspective of where our hotel was) of the town center. There is outdoor seating as well as indoor accommodations though the indoor seating doesn't have very good airflow and I wouldn't recommend it for anyone dining in the warmer months. The meal was expensive as the cuts of meat don't come with any side items (those are an addition 4euro on average), but it was delightfully seasoned and cooked very well. If you're looking for somewhere to have a nice meal in Baden-Baden and intend to spend a little more money, this would be a nice place to go.
