Reviews on Grill food in Birmingham, England, United Kingdom. The geographical heart of England, Birmingham started life as a sixth- century Anglo-Saxon village. Today, much of this city of over a million dates back to post-WWII redevelopment in the 1950s and 60s. Cutting edge museums and galleries, innovative theaters and excellent shopping have contributed to Birmingham's appeal as a weekend break destination. Don't miss the hopping bars and cafes of Gas Street Basin or the fascinating creatures at the National Sea Life Centre.

Booked for the first sitting on Friday evening (6-8pm) - service was speedy, staff were friendly and value for money was excellent! Had veggie samosa's to start and tried a curry I'd never had before, which is always a good experience and can be difficult to do sometimes (would recommend the vegetarian Tinda Sabji!) Added a side salad and a half a beer - came away very satisfied and all for under £15!Will just say it isn't super obvious that you order at the bar so my friend and I did sit for a good few minutes unsure if someone was going to come over..Overall would recommend and definitely would return!

We had heard about the food here, but we arrived on a friday night slightly dubious in the surroundings... once inside it was a little raucous as you would expect on a Friday night, but then we went to the food area. It was very busy but we managed to get a table. The food was reasonably priced, but the best thing is how authentic it tasted. The staff were all lovely and efficient (they had to be to serve all the volume of customers!).Pleasantly surprised, will definitely visit again!

Authentic Persian Cuisine One of the worldâs most ancient and refined styles of cooking is the traditional home cooking of Iran. Fragrant rice, slow cooked stew, perfectly seasoned meats, fresh herbs and vegetables are just the beginning of a journey thro
Nice decor and starters were nice. Mains were slightly dry could have done with more in the way of sauce/gravy but massive portions we couldn't finish our food! Hospitable hosts and clearly have a friendly atmosphere as loads of regulars when we went

Had some business acquaintances visit from India, the home of the curry. Impressing these guys is no easy feat. Arrived on a Friday evening where the restaurant was very busy. A nice family environment along with a calming atmosphere. My guests were very well received by front of house and helped with their choices as their is subtle differences with what they have over there. What I will say is that they were definitely impressed. Despite the fact it was busy, the service was excellent and the food faultless, with a reasonable bill at the end. Would definitely recommend Akramâs. Luxurious interiors featuring leather furnishings and authentic décor give guests a taste of the gaúcho experience in ambient surroundings. Our gaucho chefs roast succulent cuts of meat in the way it has been done for centuries, preserving the individual
We arrived to find a large spacious and attractive restaurant and a welcoming reception. The concept behind the restaurant is that you get a starter from the salad bar (which actually has more than just salads) and then they bring a large selections of different cuts of steak, lamb, gammon and chicken to your table one by one. We indicated that we wanted rare to medium rare steaks. What then happens is that they bring skewered meat to the table and slice a thin sliver or two off for you. We had rump and sirloin but at that stage had no potatoes or vegetables to go with it. Someone is going round with chips but they took a long time to get to us, even after we asked for them. There was also roast potatoes and cabbage at the salad bar. To be honest, we weren't impressed. We like a choice of vegetables and potatoes. Coming the way it did, the meat lacked juiciness and consequently taste. The lamb chops were overcooked as was the rib-eye. We had to ask for the filet mignon but shouldn't have bothered as it was cooked well done. So does the concept work? Not in our opinion.Dear Arqueros, Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. Here at Fazenda, we strive to provide the best quality service and we work hard for it every day and It is saddening to see that on this occasion we failed to meet your expectations. We take all the feedback very seriously, both positive and negative as it helps us to improve on a daily basis. We would highly appreciate if you could provide us with more details from your experience so we have sent you a private message. Warmest regards

It all started in 1984 when our father Mr Ditta setup the Royal Watan Kashmiri Restaurant on the Pershore Road. He kept an emphasis on good homemade food. Since the 80's we have established ourselves as one of Birmingham's most established BALTI Restauran
A friendly greeting on our arrival and we were shown to our table, having used the Watan many times and having the same menu choice i always have I thought it might be time to try something different and this was in the form of the new Chicken on the Bone Balti. I was so glad i tried this as it took me straight back to the early 80s when this was the norm for a balti, A balti sauce that is rich and filling and packed with flavour. It was every bit as good as i remember and just as flavoursome (you must try this). I wont harp on too much about the Watan as I have said it all in my previous reviews and them views wont ever change. If you have not been to this restaurant yet then you need to get yourself down there (booking is recommended) and try it for yourself. The Watan is run by 2 brothers and their father and its a real pleasure to see that this restaurant has not lost its true traditional values in a city that the restaurants change so much.
