New resteraunt , place was very busy Specialising in steaks and grill Food good quality a little on the expensive side 1 starter 2 mains 2 deserts and 4 drinks around about £100.

High-ish expectations coming here in a small group, with the restaurant having such a strong local reputation. One or two dishes matched that - such as the Duck main course and the Cheese plate; others were very average - a bit like cooking by numbers, Iâm afraid. This was particularly prevalent in the starters: for example, the venison croquettes were of poor texture and tasteless, while the rabbit starter didnât give any impression of having been near a rabbit - nice sauces/dressings but very little spirit at the heart of these dishes.
