Staff was very kind, friendly and efficient. The location is perfect: the road is peaceful and itâs very close to the harbour but not on the seaside. The food was amazing! Both the octopus salad and the grilled octopus were sublime: tasty and well cooked! I would go back again!

Family restaurant with a fresh seafood and fishes , home made food , as well grilled meat, pasta , gluten free dishes .
Right so this place was THE place to go a few years ago - it was small but now its expanded and taken over the next space Have to say service top notch - well done to the charming front of house woman - and great food - Fava just to die for and the Stifado - ok it was it deconstructed ( not in a pot) but beautiful - portions as you need them rather than want - you know it makes sense

Walking by the small seaside of Symi port, we found âtrata trawlerâ. Nikos, the son of the family told us that he continues the 40th years of this family taverna with his brother. His father and mother are still there with theie smile. They have friends f
The place is not in the best location but the food compensates. Quality and quantity more than satisfactory and we had ordinary plates not any specialty. Congrats to the cook! Service also fast compared to the people attending!

After walking round the port away from the main restaurants and shops there were two simply set up restaurants, but with beautiful views back across the port. Tholos may look very simple but food, service and price was excellent we had greek salad , tuna salad, homemade bread, wine and beer for less than 25 euros..Would have paid more in the port area...Definitely recommend xxxxx

Perfectsetting, right on the harbour, staff very pleasant, unfortunately not the best food ,if we had all eaten chicken souvalaki it would have been better as this was good, but the lamb in the oven was very dry, oily and tasteless,2 of us had the seafood risotto and unfortunately, whilst the 4 large prawns were delicious the risotto was mainly feta cheese and far too much of it so very over powering, not a very good meal,we did not return

Everything here is perfect. The view, friendly owners, chef, local wine & of course the food. We ate here twice and thoroughly enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and meal. Zoe and her family are the perfect hosts. It can get busy & recommend you reserve a table on Fridays & Saturdays.A whole lot better than the average taverna!

Itâs been 10 years since we were last on Symi but both Lefteris and Yianni recognised us even with two dogs in tow this time. Itâs lovely to see the Kafelion passing to the next generation through the eldest son and you still receive the same warm welcome. I love this place - please donât ever change - genuine authenticity is hard to come by these days.

Our visits to Symi wouldn't be complete without a meal here and, as usual, we had two delicious swordfish steaks. Very friendly and always good value for money. From my own experiences of eating here i do not believe that some of the negative reviews are genuine. Hope to see you again on our next visit, Yamas!

I would strongly recommend avoiding this place if you enjoy being treated as a human being. Never have we been abused by restaurant staff before. We arrived for our 8.30 reservation to be greeted by a frantic sweaty unhygienic little man telling us thereâs no tables as they are all booked. Then we explained our reservation which was misspelled. He threw us to the table and told us he will be back, we waited 20 mins before calling him and he arrived and shouted at us stating that we must wait until he has served the other people in the que. so we waited , another 20 mins passed without as much as a drink order being taken. So we complained. At that point he started shouting at my guest (a lady of 73) and told us that we should be grateful we havenât waited an hour like the table next to us. They was not full I would say around 70 percent. At this stage we decided to leave, he called the owner who then came out shouting and told us we should wait like everyone else. He became quite aggressive and also his hygiene was quite disturbing. The food on otherâs plates did look nice but there is absolutely no way anyone who wants professional or even adequate service and treatment should visit here , I have been in Greece sailing all summer visiting hundreds of tavernas. All amazing Iâm there own way. But this was a nasty car crash with zero respect for paying customers AVOID AT ALL COSTS, I have a 3 min video recording of the aggressive owner to back up my storyΠεÏιÏÏοÏεÏο βÏÏμικη μÏοÏει να θεÏÏηθει η εÏιÏκεÏη ÏÎ±Ï ÏÏην εÏιÏειÏηÏη Î¼Î±Ï ÏαÏα 6 εÏγαζομενÏν ιδÏομενÏν ανθÏÏÏÏν ÏÎ¿Ï ÏÏεÏÎ¿Ï Î½ για Ïην ÎµÎ¾Ï ÏηÏεÏηÏη ÏÏν ÏελαÏÏν ÏÎ¿Ï Ï.
