Reviews on Greek food in New London, Connecticut, United States. The city of New London, Connecticut, has been an important port since the Revolutionary War, when it served as a base for American privateers raiding British Ships. In the 19th century, the revenues brought into the city by whalers helped build what now forms the city's charming center, filled with historic homes, taverns and shops. The masts of tall ships can still be seen passing through the harbor, the home of Coast Guard ships and the site of the annual Sailfest summer celebration.

On a raw misty evening we found our usual favorites closed for the season and Trip Advisor lead us here. It being a Monday we had our choice of seats and we were greeted quickly. Our drink orders taken we perused the menu which contained mostly Italian items, but also included Greek, seafood and traditional items. My wife had baked haddock 6 large pieces with salad and baked potato. I had liver served with bacon and onions salad and baked potato. All portions were huge, enough for several meals at home. With some protein the salads would be enough for a meal! A great neighbor hood restaurant, not far off the main drag. Thanks Trip Advisor

Lunch was delightful and delicious. I started with the fig & marscapone in phyllo served on drizzled balsamic vinaigrette. It was a most delicious appetizer. For lunch, I ordered the Baked Stuffed Portabello mushroom stuffed with grilled chicken, roasted vegetable and provolone cheese, served with a tossed salad. It was yumptious! For dessert, the lemon drop cheesecake. Absolutely delicious! and a nice sized portion! The hot food was served hot! and the cold served cold. The food was all beautifully presented. The food portions were ample (I took home leftovers) but not in a wasteful way.The food was served timely manner, not rushed, not lagging. The bread served was soft and fresh. The tables were all full but it wasn't too loud and our waitress was there when we needed her and not when we didn't. She was prompt and polite. When it was time to pay the bill, the waitress took care of it quickly.Highly recommend this restaurant. Fresh delicious food. Professional waitress. Pleasant atmosphere and not really pricey!
