that is forced to double as a normal "beim Griechen" kind of thing because in a provincial town like Marburg, gourmet restaurants have a very tough stand. I have never had Souvlaki or Gyros here, but their fresh fish (from the Frankfurt Grossmarkt) is always excellent, outstanding, and - expensive, while worth the price. Yesterday, swordfish was on the menu as well, also as part of the legendary Fish Platter for two or more, which now sells at â¬90 (â¬45 per person). It was excellent and indeed world class, including the labgustinos, the polpe, and the vegetables. Potatoes are okay and since they do a mean fried bread, I would recommend some substitution. I would say that the fish soup and the salad with fish are also very recommendable. Great prompt friendly service, fairly priced wine and a good atmosphere make this indeed one of the top five restaurants in Marburg.Vielen Dank für die Bewertung! :) A.Kallioras & Team Taverna Korfu

I come and visit this Greek Taverna at least once or twice a month and it never disappoints. The owner is a kind and joyful Greek Chef who has a true passion for quality foods and his gyros is prepared fresh every day and consists of pork and veal. It is mouth watering and just amazingly tasteful!Besides the Gyros you can also have great Moussaka and Pistachio.. Of course home made as well.My two cents? Best gyros I have ever had.. Hands down!!

Usually, I try to stay away from Greek food in Germany, but Athena exceeded my expectations. We had chicken Soup (plain but well seasoned), a large Greek Salad and schnitzel with fries. Everything was fresh and plentiful, perhaps seasoned too much with some dried basil or terragon. The food was served fast and we had a free ouzo. Nothing exceptional, but good value for Money and nice atmosphere.

We were introduced to Hansenhaus Links by local friends. The restaurant nestles at the base of the hills that run along the east side of Marburg. It features a large outdoor seating area under the trees, with a lovely view over the open fields northwest to the Marburg Castle about a mile away in the distance. Picture perfect! We were there on a bright, warm Saturday afternoon, so of course we sat outside. I expect there is probably indoor seating as well. The menu at the Links has mostly Greek dishes. (Its sister restaurant around the bend in the road is the Hansenhaus Rechts, "right", and offers Italian cuisine, I was told.) I ordered a pork cutlet in sauce with french fries. The meal was perfect, the portion more than ample. As I recall, it came with a small salad too. Most menu items seemed to run about Euro 7.00 or 7.50. Lunch for six, with drinks, came to just under Euro 60. Excellent meal, good company, gorgeous view. Is it possible to have a better lunch experience?Place seems to have ample parking space. Note that the entrance to the establishment is located partway along a rather unusual half-cloverleaf road intersection where L3088, L3092, and L3289 meet.

I can´t really say whether this is a REAL greek restaurant but I can say that the food is ok. Don´t expect an excellent cuisine, but it´s not bad either. Portions are good, food is tasty and prices are decent. It seems to be a popular venue for families and big groups. Acceptable
